2 - Cuddle Buddy

"Dad... dad! Shut the alarm..." you mumbled as we hid your head under the pillow. And the blazing sound stopped immediately. "Thanks.. " you hugged the pillow and continued your sweet sleep.

"Wake up Minah! Breakfast is ready!" you heard a deep low voice shouting. "Wait dad... Just a minute." you forced yourself up and realized that you were sleeping on the sofa.

You rubbed your eyes and sat up tiredly, "Dad I had a bad dream yesterday... You were running awa-" When you stand and rose to your feet, the pain struck immediately which made you drop to the ground.

'Wait... Why was my leg hurt?' suddenly fear ateyou up and tried to figure out a reason.

"Minah!" who you thought was dad called urgently and came to you.

You looked at the man in front of you and was frightened. "Who are you?!" you shouted and moved away from him.

He reached out his hand at you but you slipped it away, "Where's my dad!!"

"Calm down, Minah..." the man said softly and lean in nearer but you kicked your feet, "NOOO! Tell me where is my dad!" tears escaped your eyes, unable to quell the panic creeping into your voice.

"Minah!" the man held both of your hands but you struggled hard, "No! Where is my dad!"

"LISTEN MINAH!" he raised his voice making you stop and look at him.

"Minah... Your dad is not here anymore." he shook you softly, "you called for me yesterday, didn't you?"

You broke into tears when memories flooded back.

And he brought you into his arms. "It's okay... it's okay. I'm here with you." He pattes your head gently which you can't help but hug him back.

You didn't know how long you've cried, but he would occasionally pat your head, comfort you, say that it will be alright as if everything will eventually recover.

And you listen to your broken voice broken again and again, but he would hush you and make you feel safe.

And you were here and he was here too with you when dad wasn't here.
