Chapter Seven: 13 Seconds Countdown
Still at the VIP Room. Bored as hell.
“Andi? I thought you went to the…” Ohh, it’s lunch break.
“To the ladies’ room?” So. She’s heading there. “I guess, I was unconscious. Okay. Bye.”
“We have our own comfort room here in the VIP Room. Remember?” She looks at me. “You haven’t been yourself lately. I mean, reciting always? Are you okay?” She checks my temperature by putting her hand on my forehead.
“Okay lang ako. Ano ba?” I walk away and turns back. “See you later, Michy!”

As I walk through the hallway, pinagtitinginan na naman ako. But this time, I can’t read what’s on their mind. Parang nakakita sila ng multo. A pretty ghost.
“Andi! What happened to your waves?” Ay. Si Barn! My “boyfriend”
“Hi boyfriend!”
“Stop it, girl! Nakakasuka!” He says.
“Arte naman nito! Sige . Mamaya na lang ulit. Natatae kasi ako eh. C-CR lang. Mwah!”

Sa wakas! Nakarating din ako sa CR. Makakatae na rin ako! Hinde. Joke Lang! Where’s that girl who caused me too much trouble? Dee-Anne, Dee-Anne, where ever you are. I’m gonna kill you.
“Andi…” Someone’s whisphering. “Andi… Si Dee-Anne ‘to.”
“Wear this and get out… We’ll talk about this later…” Inabot ko sa kanya yung mga disguise materials.
“Why so mad?”
“You’ve done enough…” I look at her fiercely. “Get out… Before I kill you...”
Umalis naman na siya. Yung feeling na hindi mo maexplain.
Okay, Why so good vibes, Max? Why so good vibes? I hate to see him smile. As much as I loved him, I want to torture him and make his everyday life miserable!
“Andi! Mamaya, ha?”
“Haa? Anong mamaya?” Clueless.
Bigla niyang linapit yung mukha niya sa mukha ko. “Basta yung mamaya.” Moves away and smiles.
“May date ako mamaya!”
He lets out a small sigh of laughter. “Ulul! Kanino?”
“Sa Boyfriend ko.”
Bigla siyang tumawa. “Ulul ka talaga, Andi!”
I can’t seem to explain why, what or how this happened nor what’s gonna happen. But one thing is for sure. May kinalaman si Dee-Anne dito. What did she tell to this horrible guy?

“WHAAAAAAAT?!” I can’t believe this. “Mamaya?”
“Yep, mamaya.”
“I’m not free tonight.”
“You look stressed, Andi. Chill. It’s for Academic purposes.”
“Ba’t di na lang ikaw ang pumunta since ikaw ang nag-memorize ng script?”
“It’s better if you go.” I look so haggard dahil sa stress. Deym! “Okay, you choose, Barney-slash-boyfriend or Max-slash-Romeo.”
“I’d rather go with my ‘boyfriend’ “ Duhh? Obviously.
“Okay, Here’s where you should meet.”

That Dee-Anne tricked me! She tricked me so badly! What the… ?! Pinagpili pa ako eh wala din naman akong choice. Either way, I-pu-push niya ako kay Max. Ano bang pinakain ni Max kay Dee? Anong pinag-usapan nila at may kiss pang involved?

“Oy! Lul!” Lul. Tawag niya sa ‘kin dati. Dati nung kami pa.
“Hi, I’m Andi.”
“Ang formal mo naman!” He smiles. “Let’s start our date… I mean, our scenes.”
Ano bang nangyayari? Hindi ko magawang makapag-concentrate. Ni lines ko nga hindi ko alam eh. Ni isa. Psh.
“Since hindi ka maka-concentrate. Break muna tayo.” He looks at me.
“Matagal na tayong break.” Oops. That was a bad joke, I guess.
“Gonna get you back, Bi, I promise. If you would just let me explain.”
“Okay, Explain. You’ve got 13 seconds.”
“Ngayon na?”
“13…”
“Andi, Kase… I don’t know where to start…”
“10…”
“I was serious about you! I just needed some incentives…”
“6…”
“Stop counting! Damn it!”

“Hindi ako makapag-isip!”
“2…”
“Kung hindi ka titigil, hahalikan kita.”

Before I end the countdown, Our lips crashed perfectly but I pushed him away since I… I don’t know… I can’t say I didn’t like it… It’s just that, it’s unusual.
Palakpakan natin si Andi! Nagpapahalik sa ibang mga lalake pero ayaw magpahalik sa lalaking gusto niya.
Hindi ko siya gusto.
Mahal mo siya.
“What was that for?” I said while raising an eyebrow.
“Tignan mo nga naman ‘tong babaeng ‘to! Hindi nakikinig.” He looked at me again. Our faces close. “Ginawa ko yun para makinig ka!”
“You still have no right to do that.” I cross my arms. “Alis na ako. Sige, bye and Burn!”
He stands in my way. “Ano? Kailangan ba kitang gahasain?” He said smiling.
