24 - Mr & Mrs Skywalker

Anakin had gotten everything in place. He had scheduled someone to come at a nice spot on the base. Obi-wan had been helping set up decorations and Yoda was using the force to place higher decorations up. Cassandra was bring in a few baked goods from the baker and when he noticed she was struggling a bit he went to grab them. Cassandra wasn't super far along. But she was definitely starting to feel it.

"Thanks Anakin. My lower back is starting to kill me"

He chuckled "I can tell. Sit and relax. I hope Felix and y/n will be here soon"

Cassandra sat down and saw the preacher had finally shown up. Anakin had planned to not only ask you to marry him today but he was also going to get married. He wanted to hurry and make it official before the battle to take back Coruscant.

"They should be here soon. Felix had taken her to grab some supplies for the base"

That's when the doors started to open. Felix walked in with a blindfolded y/n. Anakin couldn't help but smile brightly. Yoda, Obi-wan, and Cassandra got in place as the preacher stood in the middle Felix smirked.

"Alright. Sorry for the secrets y/n. But here we go! Surprise!!"

As Felix took off the blindfold you gasped seeing all the beautiful decorations. Anakin had gotten a table full of cupcakes and flowers, the decorations looked like fake flowers hanging up high and around the floor. A preacher stood beside the railing and the sunset was just perfect enough to give a golden hue. Your eyes stung with tears of happiness as Anakin stood before you in a light white robe with a light brown cloak. It was the first time since you had seen him again that he was in actual lighter clothing.

He had been only in darker colors or just black. His hair was brushed but still wavy he smiled a warm smile and took a few steps. You had gotten out of surgery a few hours ago and your hand didn't feel like it had changed. So you were not in a lot of pain. Even if you were this would make it all melt away.

"Oh, Anakin. What's all this?" You tried to ask without crying.

He smiled and pulled out the hand made ring. The gasp you made had everyone smiling from ear to ear. "Y/n. I want to make us official. I am not a Jedi nor a Sith. I can be with you forever. I want to make you my wife. Here and now. Will you marry me?"

You smiled bright and nodded quickly "yes I will Anakin!"

He grabbed your new robotic hand and placed the ring on your ring finger. As you looked to it he couldn't help but watch you closely. He softly pulled you to the preacher and he nodded his way.

The preacher began and neither you nor Anakin could stop smiling. You rubbed his knuckles as your heart was racing. When it was time for the vows Anakin went first.

"Y/n. We've known each other since childhood. I had felt a spark between us that I now know as our dyad bond. I should've also known that the feeling I felt then wasn't just from the bond. It was because I loved you even then." He lifted your hands and looked to them to your eyes "you where my everything then and your my everything now. I wish I found you again sooner and we did this earlier. I love you"

You cried a bit but squeezed his hands "anakin. I knew from childhood that I loved you. I hated being away from you. Every day and night I thought of you and hoped you were alive and okay. When I had met you again, I was so happy. I was relieved and my heart felt so warm. I never want to be without you again"

The preacher even cried a bit between our vows. He rubbed his eyes and soon said his last pieces. Once they were done you and Anakin kissed deeply. You knew you'd want to make a ring for him later. But you were just so happy to now be his forever at last. He held you close and tight, like he never wanted you to let go. Obi-wan felt this big sense of warmth and pride. To see Anakin so happy and to see him grow as a man. Like a father being proud of his own son, or a brother to his younger brother.
