"Hunter Daye." He introduced himself as I shook his hand.

That deep voice.

"Jhanna-Rae Marley. Nice to meet you, and thanks for coming by." I smiled, then removed my hand.

"I should've been here much earlier, but the roads needed to be cleared up a bit before major work was being done to restore the power." He explained.

I nodded, then looked into the kitchen.

"Can I offer you a meal and a warm drink?" I hoped.

"Sure, thank you." He agrees.

Smiling, I went over and shared a plate with him and popped it in the microwave while I poured his drink.

He returns with a bag, adding food items to the countertop, and my eyes widen a bit at the amount.

"Here is the milk and sugar." I put them next to his cup of coffee.

He nodded and took a seat on the stool along the counter.

This already tall, hulk of a man is over a foot taller and has gotten two feet when seated.

Gulping, I looked away from his bearded face and green eyes to the microwave.

I can barely see his lips underneath the facial hair and as for his head, having its long curly brunette hair that I'm sure plenty of women would be jealous of.

"Are you allergic to anything that I may have in this kitchen?" I asked.

"No allergies." He answered.

"Any eating preferences - Vegetarian, vegan..." I listed, and he chuckled.

"I'm more of a carnivore." He points at the stacks of meat he has on the counter.

I blushed and stopped the microwave before it started beeping.

Opening it up and places the food before him.

"I'll get the utensils," I muttered, moving around nervously as I could feel his eyes on me.

It's even more of my anxiety as I'm no longer alone but with a stranger at that.

I hope that I don't make a fool of myself.

I got him a knife and a fork, washing them before I placed them on a paper towel next to his plate.

"This looks and smells amazing." He complimented, and I blushed for the better.

"Thanks." I nod. "Can I pack these away?"

Gesturing to the groceries.

"If it's not a bother..."

"It's not," I say, going right ahead and starting to pack it away.

Pieces and two whole chickens. Lobster and shrimp tails. Fish, steak, salmon, lamb, beef, pork, ground beef, salmon burgers, duck burgers, lamb burgers, rabbit sausage, duck sausage...and exotic meats.

I eyes the label as I pack them in the deep freezer. Ground elk, elk stew meat, elk burgers and sausage, elk rack, wild boar sausage. Elk salami and lots of fancy seafood.

He's right about being a carnivore, and I won't judge.

On his place was just some curry chicken, pumpkin rice, and steamed veggies. Nothing fancy as I was the only one here and had no one to impress.

Along with the meats, he brought spices and herbs, butter, some vegetables, fruits, tea bags, chocolate mix, and lots of beer. A box worth of beers.

How strong is this guy?
