It was long overdue with the move.
I still had my things packed and the week off was all I needed to get the rest done.
I've returned home with big offers thanks to Hassan. Instead of moving into an apartment. I have a house in my name as well as expecting a special guest soon.
It was already furnished but from what I see, Hunter is all over this.
He knows I like four-poster bed style and a house full of mahogany wood furniture. I got it all.
Getting help from Steff, Emryn, Aaron, Reggie, Tyrell, and Vickie. To help me unpack, clean, and sanitize, filling the house with food and necessities. Lastly, make it homey.
A man getting me a house is equal to it being his as well.
I got our pictures framed and hung on the wall.
His family's picture stayed in his room, while my friends own in mine. They're my family.
So when I heard the doorbell ring, I knew he was here. They were here.
I rushed out of the kitchen and opened the door.
Passing him to hug his grandma and parents.
"So I'm invisible?" Hunter chuckled.
"No, you'll be here with me so you don't need to worry about getting attention. You'll want more than space when I'm done with you." I smiled at him, watching as he drove his electric wheelchair inside on the ramp.
"Here I thought we'll help you move in." Polly admires the inside after everyone is in.
"Welcome home." I laughed then gasped. "My dumplings!"
I rushed off leaving them as I head to the kitchen. Turning the stove off and covers the pot.
"It looks like a home and smells like one." Mister Daye compliments as he's first to enter the kitchen.
"I tried my best." I smiled.
"Picture frames are up, it feels like you've been here for years. You did an amazing job, Jhanna-Rae." Nana Daye acknowledges.
"Thanks." I looked at Hunter we drove his way in.
"No hug? No kisses?" He shook head at me.
"I'm sorry." I approached and hugged him around the neck. Then kisses his forehead.
"On the lips, Baby." He points.
"No." I hissed playfully. "Have some respect for your family."
They laughed at him and he pulls me down on his lap. Putting his arms around my waist before his head found refuge in my neck.
"Why do you smell like roses?" He raises his head and frowned.
I laughed. "Because I do."
"You always smell like chocolate and coconut." He raises my hand and smells my skin. "What have you done."
His mom and grandma start laughing.
"It's Maison Margiela's, Replica springtime in a park eau de parfum." I smiled.
"Is it just today's smell?" He raised a brow.
"For this month.
"You change your smell every month?" Polly asked.
"Mhmm hmm. I have to confuse my haters." I bat my eyes at Hunter who laughs.
"I'm your hater?"
"You're hating my new smell." I pointed out.
