WHAT!?
Percy was used to the occasional weird experiences, but usually they were over quickly. This twenty-four/seven hallucination was more than he could handle. For the rest of the school year, the entire campus seemed to be playing some kind of trick on him. The students acted as if they were completely and totally convinced that Mrs. Kerr—a perky blond woman whom he'd never seen in his life until she got on their bus at the end of the field trip—had been their pre algebra teacher since Christmas.
He even asked Amaya if she'd seen the same thing, she said she had no idea what he was talking about, but he knew she was lying, she was only saying that to get under his skin.
That part wasn't too bad, if he was going to go insane he did not want to go inside with Amaya of all people
Every so often he would spring a Mrs. Dodds reference on somebody, just to see if he could trip them up, but they would stare at him like he was a psycho.
It got so bad he almost believed them—Mrs. Dodds had never existed.
Almost.
When he asked Hope, she was confident with her answer she would not hesitate to say that Ms. Dodd's didn't exist she looked like she was telling the truth.
But Grover couldn't fool him. When he mentioned the name Dodds to him, he would hesitate, then claim she didn't exist. But he knew he was lying.
Something was going on. Something had happened at the museum.

Amaya didn't think Grover and Hope were lying.
She knew Grover and Hope were lying.
When she heard about how the students didn't know who Ms. Dodds was, she decided to play along. She pretended Ms. Dodds didn't exist
Whenever Percy would ask her about Ms. Dodds, she would say he had officially gone crazy. Which annoyed Percy she didn't mind that.
She watched Hope and Grover like a hawk, whenever Percy would ask Grover about Ms. Dodds, he would go quiet before answering, he was obviously lying.
But Hope was good at lying, really good to the point you couldn't' tell, but Amaya knew her sister.
Hope would tap her knees with her fingers whenever she was stressed or lying. They were both lying.
But what scared her was not the fact they were lying. No.
It was the fact the other students weren't lying.
When she watched as Percy asked the other students about Ms. Dodds, she knew their response was genuine, she knew the students were telling the truth.
They really didn't know who Ms. Dodds was
