One year later....

Darren and I traveled around nine months before discovering some news. I didn't want to back to New York. Darren and I made the choice of living in San Francisco with his parents or Portland with my parents. We both agreed on San Fran. I sold my apartment and Darren had a stash of money that we put together to buy a small, I'll call it starter home because we didn't know if a big family was in our future. We tried to protest, but Darren's parents have volunteered to pay some of the mortgage, so we have money for the wedding. Darren found an old theatre in deep need of repair. With the leftover money, he bought it. He now does theatre camps at the end of summer and starts auditions for musicals and\or plays in the autumn for less fortunate kids.
I know this seems cheap, but he charges 20 dollars per child or less, depending on how much parents make a month. Darren has called it the Criss Theatre and Arts Company. Its acronym is CTAAC. His quote is, "Dare to dream the dream!".
With my help, he wrote a stage version of Glee. Of course he got permission from the creators. Sort of like Starkid's original production of A Very Potter Musical, he mixes all six seasons of Glee into a two hour play and musical. It keeps us steady in the money department. After the wedding, I plan on doing singing and piano lessons. We aren't sure when that will be. We also adopted a West Highland terrier we've deemed Ziggy.
Darren currently is working on the play\musical, I pay him visits if I'm walking with Ziggy occasionally. There's only one day before the show is due to be performed.
I visit him, so we can go out to dinner.

"Great job guys! Break a leg tomorrow!" Darren tells the kids working on the play.
They go backstage to change into regular clothes. The cast is between 14 to eighteen years of age. Darren, in the future plans to open it to all ages.
I walk through the public entrance, watching Darren get up from one of the first row chairs. Ziggy begins pulling and barking loudly. Darren grins when he sees me. I am being dragged down to him.
"Hello, Babe," Darren says greeting me with a kiss.
When we break away, for a short moment, Darren's attention turns to Ziggy.
"Who's a good boy?! You are!" he repeats as he rubs Ziggy's belly.
Then he stands and asks, "How's little guy doing, Q?"
Darren's hand gently feels my barely protruding pregnant belly (I'm at three months). I smile. This is why we stopped our traveling spree. We found out I was pregnant in New Mexico. Our rental car had stopped running in the middle of no where and we were stuck for a couple nights until finally being discovered. Weeks later, I'm sick at a rest stop Denny's for breakfast. In the bathroom, a Hispanic woman asks me if I'm alright. She spoke pretty good English.
I told her I was feeling sick. Then she asks me a personal question I don't answer. She brought up the suggestion of pregnancy. I had Darren drive me to Albuquerque and get me to a doctor. The suggestion was proven fact. We were both somewhat excited. But we were nervous too. We weren't married yet and we didn't know whether or not we could hold our own as a married couple. We had a two hour conversation in an Albuquerque hotel room about it. We decide to have the baby. That's the reason why we've postponed the wedding even more.
Also why I wanted to live by parents, so they could help us out.
"Fine," I answer. "He's healthy...And his fingernails as well as his tiny toe nails are forming."
Darren kisses me again. He's ecstatic. The cast members start to come from backstage. Some might find what I just said pointless, but when there's a miracle of life growing within you, the most miniscule news like fingers and toes are forming, gives you this sort of joy.
"Hello, Miss Quinn," a senior (eighteen) named Mackenzie says.
She's playing Quinn Fabray....If you haven't seen Glee, the pregnant one in season one.
I wave.
Then comes a girl named Belle who's portraying Rachel Berry, "Hi, soon to be Mrs. C!"
The whole cast is on stage by now. They've all said their introductions.
Belle, sounding like Rachel says, "Mr. C, you know we have an hour before we're due to be home."
"Sounding like Rachel in real life," Darren laughs. "I'm giving you guys the time off because how great you guys are doing. You should be thanking me!"
Then a junior named Alan, who's playing Michael Chang, says, "Mr. C, some of us are going to be bored and\or don't feel like we have a home other than this...We don't want to go home."
Alan, like his character has some pretty sweet moves.
A girl named Cassandra, who's playing Brittney, adds, "I have nothing to do after this, Darren."
A guy by the name of Mark, who's playing Puck\Noah, counters, "This is my only real home, Mr. C...I can be myself."
A sophomore named Raina, who's Santana, says finally, "You are an awesome director...Who's made me learn my passion...We all agreed that we want to hear the full story of how you met your beautiful bride to be."
Everyone begins to protest before Darren says anything. He turns to me and I nod.
"Alright! Take a seat, everyone," Darren replies.
The cast runs to the backstage to grab chairs. Some just sit on the stage in wait.
Darren let's Ziggy off leash. The dog bounds up the stairs to the stage. He plops himself in Raina's arms.
Darren and I sit at the edge of the stage. I let him tell the story. I'm seeing how he recollects it and describes the events. This is why I wrote down this story. My perspective on us meeting, getting my chance to be in a Broadway musical (I won the Tony!), becoming an item, getting engaged, pregnancy, and now. It is still continuing so I might continue. Time for this story to come to a close. Remember to work hard towards your dreams and they will come true!
