"Good morning guys!" Kennedy Graham gleamed as her two teenagers walked into the kitchen. Enzo was the first to sit at the table, immediately grabbing the box of cereal before his sister could. "Morning, mom." He replied cheerfully.

On the other hand, Kyla mumbled an annoyed "Morning." before taking the cereal out of Enzo's hand. The red head was definitely not a morning person.

Kennedy took a seat across from Enzo, next to Kyla. "Other than the party this afternoon, do you guys have any other plans today?"

While chewing, Kyla shook her head no. Enzo swallowed before answering. "I have to run by work to get my paycheck, then to the bank to cash it." He looked over to Kyla. "Wanna come with?"

"Can we get coffee?"

"Yes."

"Then yeah, I'll go." The girl was more than excited to grab coffee with her brother. It was their time to catch up and spill all their dirty little secrets. However, with it still being summer vacation, the only new things to hear about would be Enzo's co-workers.

Kyla looked at her mother with a smile. "I'm running errands with Enzo." Kennedy tilted her head to the left, a smile grew on her face as she looked at her daughter. "Really? I had no idea." The woman ruffled the girls' hair before getting up from the table to leave the room.

The teens quickly finished their breakfast now that they were in a time crunch. Kennedy came back into the kitchen with a black shopping bag. "While you guys are out, can you drop this off to Amanda? She needs it for the party."

Kyla, who was washing her bowl, rolled her eyes as she let out a deep sigh. She recently hated going to the LaRusso household. Her father, Logan, was Daniel LaRusso's karate prodigy and little brother figure. They met when Logan was a sophomore in high school while Daniel was a freshman in college, living in the same apartment complex. Daniel noticed that Logan was coming back from school bruised and beaten, and decided he would show him some karate. The rest was history.

However, as of recently her cousin, Samantha, wasn't being a good person. Hanging out with bullies and completely ignoring her best friend, Aisha, who was getting bullied by Sam's new friends and for whatever reason, Sam was taking her anger out on Kyla.

Enzo took the bag from his mother. "I'll take it, mama." Kennedy smiled, giving him a kiss on the forehead. "Thank you, mijo."

A thing to know about Kennedy and Logan Graham, they weren't able to have their own children, so they decided to adopt. Initially, the couple were only looking for one child, at least for the time being.

Enzo had been dropped off at the fire department right after he was born, never knowing about his family.

Kyla came in as an emergency. Logan and Kennedy couldn't just leave her, especially after hearing her backstory.

They didn't hesitate to open their home to two 6 year olds.

As they raised the kids, they found out that Enzo comes from Hispanic descent and Kyla comes from Polish descent. In a group, the Grahams were told that it was very important to keep that a part of the children's life. So, naturally the entire family learned how to speak Spanish, Polish and Korean, for Logan.

Nine years later, Kennedy and Logan couldn't be more thankful that they listened to their hearts.

Kennedy walked over to her daughter, also giving her a kiss on the forehead. "Play nice."

"I always do." Kyla replied before she dried her hands with a towel.

Enzo took his usual place in the driver's seat while Kyla took her place as the passenger princess. "Coffee, LaRusso's, work, bank. Sound good?"

Kyla looked at the slightly younger boy. "I'm not driving, I don't care." Enzo quickly pulled out of the driveway. "Can I aux, though?"

He sucked in a tight breath. "See, I do care about that. No."

"Why not?" She asked, only a little bit of hurt filled her tone.

Enzo shook his head. "I don't wanna listen to Eminem." Kyla rolled her eyes. "Then I won't play it, but we can't sit in silence."

"Fine."

The next twenty minutes went by quickly. Kennedy was now pushing Kyla and Enzo next to each other for pictures.

"Mom, this is embarrassing." Enzo complained.

"We go to these all the time, do you really need to take pictures for every event?" Kyla asked.

Kennedy rolled her eyes at the teens. "Yes. You guys look so cute! So, suck it up."

The woman couldn't wait to have the photos printed so she could add them to the scrap book.

"Come on, you guys should be used to this by now." Logan told his children as he walked into the living room. "You're gonna be doing this until the day we die." He added.

Kennedy looked away from her phone and moved her eyes to her husband, furrowing her brows. "Now why would you say that?" She asked him. Logan and the teens laughed. He walked over to hug her, giving her a kiss on her temple. "It was a bad joke. I'm sorry, baby."

At the country club, almost all the population was over sixty. Enzo and Kyla sat at the table with Anthony LaRusso, who was the definition of an iPad kid, as their parents mingled with the other adults.

A few minutes passed as Daniel tried to talk Anthony about going on a walk with him to the bar. That's when Kyla finally saw Aisha.

Happiness filled her as she practically ran to her friend. She loved Aisha, she was easily the funniest person she'd ever met. "Thank God, you're here!" Kyla said, giving Aisha a tight hug.

"Yeah, this party was really lame without me." Aisha joked as they let go of each other. Kyla smiled at her. "You have no idea!"

"It just sucks that Sam had to visit her grandma."

Kyla looked at her friend with pure confusion. "Huh?"

Aisha nodded. "That's what your Aunt Amanda told me."

That's crazy because her Aunt Amanda told her and her brother that Sam wasn't feeling good.

But Kyla didn't say anything. She didn't want to make Aisha feel worse about the situation.

The girl shook her head and grabbed Aisha's hand. "Who needs Sam, we'll have fun without her."
