Sam didn't expect to see Kyla at the tournament, but she was really happy when she did. Her cousin was sitting at the very top row, probably to make sure no one knew she was there.

"Hey stranger." Sam said softly. Kyla looked up at her with a small half smile. "Can I sit with you?"

"Yeah."

Enzo hated himself that he couldn't get out of work to go see his friends at the tournament, his parents or sister didn't tell him what happened the night before since he was working the closing shift and came home after everything was already settled.

He just wanted to see his friends, they had put in such hard work and he was bummed his couldn't watch. At least Kyla could update him when they all got home.

"How come you're all the way up here?" Sam asked.

Kyla took a deep breath as she leaned back in her seat. "I wanted to silently support. Which sounds stupid, I know. I'm pissed at all of them, but I still wanted to show up."

Sam nodded her head. "I totally understand."

"From Reseda, returning to tournament, we have.. "

"Cobra Kai, Cobra Kai." The students in black gi's chanted as they took their spots. Kyla let out a small groan. "Maybe this was a bad idea."

Miguel looked around and saw Sam and Kyla's parents but not Sam nor Kyla, to be honest it hurt him. He knew he deserved it, but it still hurt.

"And finally, fighting unaffiliated from North Hills, we have Robby Keene!!" The announcer introduced.

"Robby?" The girls questioned in unison as they watched the brunette boy run out to his place on the mat. They shared a look of confusion, Sam was the most, considering her dad banished him from their house and dojo last night. "What is it?" Kyla asked, immediately noticing that something wasn't right.

Sam shook her head. "Robby's dad is Miguel's sensei."

The read heads eyes almost fell out of her head. "You're lying?" Sam bit her bottom lip with a head shake. "It happened when we got back to my place. Our dads went out to test a car or something, and Johnny saw Robby and freaked on my dad. Then my dad kicked Robby out."

Kyla nodded with the new information. "Well, at least it's kind of comforting to know that we all had a terrible night." It was a dry joke, but it did make Sam chuckle, so it was worth it. "Yeah."

After hours of watching everyone compete, the semifinals were complete. Sadly, Aisha was eliminated. Sam watched as her old friend grabbed her bag and stormed out. "I'll be right back." She told Kyla, who just nodded. It was about them the talked. Maybe after this the three of them could be friends again.
