Kyla, Demetri and Miguel walked out of their classroom, ecstatic that the prep test was over, it was stupid to have it on a Saturday morning.

"Hey!" Sam tapped on Miguels shoulder. He turned around, his attitude didn't improve when he saw her, in fact he remembered last night when he saw that guy laughing with her family like it was no big deal. Miguel bent down to give her a kiss. "We're gonna wait." Demetri said as him and Kyla walked away.

Demetri and Kyla walked outside while they waited for the rest of the group, they were going to go to the park.

"Can I ask you something?" Demetri broke the silence. Kyla looked up at him as they stood against the brick wall. "Of course."

"Do you think, I'll actually get a girlfriend or am I just a lost cause?" Kyla furrowed her brows at this question. "What are you talking about?"

He shrugged his shoulders. "I'm not strong or popular, I don't do karate or sports. The only thing I have is my brain and that just isn't enough."

Kyla shook her head, not believing him. "Being popular or sporty doesn't matter to some girls. I don't care about those things. I want someone who makes me laugh and I don't have to change who I am."

"Where am I ever going to find that?" He huffed.

"You'll meet her, I promise." Kyla encouraged.

The two stood in silence for a couple of minutes. "Do you want to go on a date with me?" Kyla asked breaking the silence.

"What?" Demetri asked with his eyes almost falling out of his head. Kyla shrugged. "I just said that I want someone who makes me laugh and I don't have to change myself for, you fit that description, Tri."

He thought about it for a second, "No, no. That's absurd."

"And, why is that?"

"Because you're hot, and I'm me!"

"Did you just call me hot?"

"We don't have to talk about it. But it's a crazy idea."

"Thank you?" Kyla started before taking a breath. "Okay, don't think of it as a date date, but more of a practice date. Just one dinner."

"You know when I woke up this morning this isn't what I thought was going to happen. This is crazy-"

"Demetri! I'm asking to hang out with you, not your hand in marriage."
