He ordered the attendant to make all the necessary arrangements and to escort me to heaven. Then he made arrangements for me to go to meet the lord of heaven. I prayed and thanked them and we started our journey and left from there. While flying upwards from hell we came across multiple cosmic layers or Lokas.
First one we came across is Patala Loka. Upon request he told me about those Lokas. Patala or Nagaloka is the lowest realm and the region of the Nagas. The snakes born in the clan of Taksak and Vasuki, are believed to carry a lustrous, shiny stone on their hoods, in their mouth or on their tails, which radiates green, blue or yellow coloured light, this is called Naagmani. It possesses an unusual glow that illuminates its surroundings. It is believed that the person who carries the Naagmani will not be affected by any kind of poison. These divine creatures with mystical powers are synonymous with nature spirits and are a symbol of rebirth, death, fertility, immortality, medicine, health and wealth. Due to this, snakes were worshiped since ancient times.
Rasatala is the home to the cruel demons (Danavas and Daityas), who are mighty but cruel. They are the eternal foes of Devas or Demigods. This layer was mostly filled with rocks and sand. The asura realm is one of the realms, in which one can be reincarnated as a result of experiencing the fruits of karma after engaging in bad karma. They don't hesitate in committing any kind of cruel work.
Then we came across Mahatala, the abode of many hooded Nagas like the sons of Kadru, headed by the Krodhavasha band of Kuhaka, Takshaka, Kaliya and Sushena. They are supernatural serpents depicted as either complete serpents, complete humans or semi human with multiple snake hoods emerging from their back, beings with half-snake and half-human body, and some having the ability to shapeshift between these forms. They are illusionists and used to cause harm to humans before.
We reached Talatala below Sutala is the planet Talatala, the abode of the demon Mayashura the ashura architect, a demonic race, and famous for his brilliant architecture. He is favored by GOD after praying and staying there without any conflict with others. He is an expert in the powers of sorcery.
The planet Sutal is ruled by Bali, chief of the asuras. Sutala is yellow in color. In this realm, people are able to learn from their mistakes, hence we find Bali being blessed by the Lord. Once he used to be a wealthy, good, pious king on earth. But due to his egoistic nature he had to lose everything and was pushed to Sutala by GOD.
Then we reached Vitala Loka. Vitalo shines brightly like a coral. It is the realm of Hara-Bhava he said, who is an avatar of Shiva. There are said to be many gold mines in this world. The devotees of the lord Bhava would offer him a lot of gold. He lives with his personal associates, the ghosts and similar living entities.
Explanation of the Astral Realm
The Loka is just below the human region called Atala Loka. Atala had black soil. It's also called Bila heaven, a world of material enjoyment also illusory enjoyment. In the heart of the mystical realm of Atala Loka, the air was full of the sweet scent of blossoming flowers and the gentle hum of celestial beings. The landscape was a kaleidoscope of colors, with towering trees that stretched towards the sky, their leaves shimmering like jewels in the soft, ethereal light. As one wandered through the realm, the sound of gentle waterfalls and the soft chirping of birds filled the air. The ground beneath one's feet was covered in a soft, lush carpet of grass, and the trees seemed to stretch out their branches in invitation, as if beckoning one to explore their secrets. Every step revealed a new wonder, every glance revealed a new beauty. The flowers that grew here were unlike any found in the mortal realm, with petals that shimmered like diamonds and colors that defied the imagination. The trees bore fruits that glowed with an otherworldly light, and the very air seemed to vibrate with magic. It was a place where one could lose oneself in the splendor of creation, and find oneself in the process. A degraded person is always interested in finding all such bewildered materialists thinking all of those are the real happiness.
All these places were mostly ruled by demons. As these are closer regions to earth, hence often demons used to come to earth to harass earthlings and disturb the pieces in the current world via various ways. A spiritually awakened person is full of anxiety for the deliverance of all living entities from such false enjoyment. Most creatures stay like fools in those regions and are always engaged in material happiness, which is surely temporary. Whether in the heavenly planets, the lower planets or the earthly planets, people are engrossed in temporary, material happiness, forgetting that in due course of time they have to change their bodies according to the material laws and suffer the repetition of birth, death, old age and disease. Not caring what will happen in the next birth, gross materialists are simply busy enjoying themselves during the present short span of life.
After covering a long distance we reached the Bhuvar Loka. It was the point from which I went to Narka following a celestial being. That place was actually a gateway as well as wordering limit for souls. From the start it does not have anything. But In the ancient days, there lived a king named Trishanku who ruled over a prosperous kingdom. Despite his failures, Trisanku did not lose hope to seek a way to visit heaven before his death. He met sage Vishvamitra, who agreed to help him and arranged a sacrifice to make peace with the gods. However, none of the gods accepted the sacrifice, disrupting the universe's birth and death system. Vishvamitra used his yogic powers and might to raise Trishanku to heaven. But when the lord of heaven came to know about this he put pressure on him from top too. Due to that, he turned into a skull-like figure. Watching this Vishamitra made a separate solution. As promised he created a different heaven for Trishanku, in between earth and heaven and this layer was created. Lord Brahma ordered him to stop and gave Trishanku permission to stay within the stars ensuring Viswamitra's promise should not be hampered. After an earthly being dies normally, they need to wait for attendants to take them. But if a being dies prematurely it's soul can stay on earth or can utmost transcend till this layer, not above it or any other places. Those souls who wander in this realm or on earth without any other options to transcend to other realms are called ghosts. There are many types of ghosts that roam around this realm and those can interact with the human world, each with its own unique characteristics. Some are the spirits of the dead, trapped between the world of the living and the afterlife, while others are malevolent entities that feed on fear and chaos.
Those leftover spirits are one of the most prevalent kinds of ghosts. These are the emotional and psychological traces left behind by past occurrences in a place, producing a kind of phantom echo. They are visible or audible, but they cannot communicate with or perceive the living. These spirits are frequently observed at locations that have witnessed important occasions, such as former battlegrounds, haunted houses, or sad accident scenes. The spirit of intelligence is another kind of ghost. These are the spirits who are able to converse with the living and are aware of them. They can be either benign or malignant, and they are frequently the spirits of persons who passed away with unsolved issues or unfinished business. Intelligent ghosts can appear as a mist, a shadow, or a fully realized apparition, among other forms. They have the ability to touch live things, move objects, and produce sounds. And there are poltergeists too, the most active and troublesome kind of ghost. These are the spirits that create loud noises, smash doors, move items, and otherwise disturb the physical world. They are frequently the angry, frustrated, and attention-seeking ghosts of those who passed away abruptly or violently. The most challenging poltergeists to deal with are those who have the ability to harm people physically and cause property damage. Lastly, the most enigmatic and elusive kind of ghosts are the shadow people. These are the ghosts that stay hidden to avoid being discovered or coming into contact with the living. They are frequently perceived as enigmatic, shadowy people who dart around corners and vanish out of sight. The souls of people who have done terrible things during their lives and are currently stuck there, waiting to be sent to hell. After this region we both reached heaven.
