Ch.4:Cheer

•••Jade's PoV•••

I sign in while the lady named Mrs. Brian finishes my registration. "Thank you, Ms. Lawrence." She says in a sweet southern tone. She's young, maybe around twenty-seven or so. She has blonde hair and green eyes that have glasses covering them. She smiles brightly before pointing to my coach, Mrs. Amy.

I notice a bunch of girls in a circle surrounding Mrs. Amy, and I decide to wait until they're done talking to walk over there. I take a look at all the girls. A lot of them are what you'd expect. Big-bowed and personalities as big as fireworks. I see the girls chatter away, their hand motions obviously giving away their gossip. I walk over to speak to Mrs. Amy when I see a girl, a couple years older than me but still young. She's practicing a perfected round off back tuck, I think it's called. I'm not really sure, I haven't even done a front flip before without being on a trampoline.

I eventually make it to my teacher and introduce myself. "Hi, I'm Jade Lawrence." I say. "Hello, I'm Mrs. Amy. I'm going to be your cheer coach!" she says flipping her brown bangs out of her face. "We have a special thing we do here. We do bigs and littles! It's like a sibling thing we do. Let's see..." she says looking through a clip board. "Do you mind sharing a big with someone?" She asks. "Well, no, but what about her?" I ask pointing to the girl over on the mats across where we were. "Oh, Kaitlyn? Sure." she says and I smile. "Okay, so I'm gonna have you go meet Kaitlyn, then you can go and let her show you around! You are a tiny little thing, so after you learn the basics and everything you will probably be a flyer. " She says. I nod then walk over to Kaitlyn.

She's doing a stretch when I speak up, "Hello, I'm Jade." I speak softly although I managed to shock her. She clutches her chest and her eyes go wide. "Oh my God, you scared the crap outta me!" She says as I stifle a laugh. After she calms down, she speaks, "I'm Kaitlyn." she says with her eyes down. "I-I'm your new little." I say holding my arm. "Oh." she says. "They said you would show me around?" I say sounding hopeful. "Okay." she says shrugging. We walk around and look at all the different groups of people and I hear a snicker from Kaitlyn here and there and I can already tell that we are probably going to be friends, and I wouldn't be lying if I said I was kind of excited about it.
