Jen's PoV
Today Jade has her first cheer competition! I'm so excited, I can hardly breathe. I know she's excited, but she wants to act "cool" about it. That's not till later on though. Anyway, I go pick up my little baby, Willow. I've put her in daycare and she has to be there soon. I don't like putting her in daycare though because I feel so cliche, but you gotta do whatcha' gotta do.
I hold her in my arms as we walk up stairs. She's so well behaved, but I think that's coming to an end because she loves trouble and she's only six months. We go into her nursery and I set her in her bouncer while I pick out an outfit for her to wear. I decide on a pink top and leopard leggings with some matching pink moccasins. As I walk back to her I drop it. "Da-" I begin to say. "Damn it." She says. It's a wonder she's talking so early, but cursing? I thought we were over this little cursing fit. I really need to watch what I say to her. "Willow, Mommy said don't say that word." I say in a stern voice. Apparently, it was too stern because she starts crying. "Shh, Shh." I say trying to calm her down, but it only fuels her. "Jay-Jay." She calls. Not a moment after, Jade walks through the door and picks her up. "What's wrong?" She asks. "She said something she wasn't supposed to, so I told her not to say it." I state crossing my arms. "You can't say that alright?" She says and Willow nods. I cannot believe it, she consoles her better than I can. To me thats just absolutely crazy.
After I get Willow a bath and change her,I take her to the daycare. I think she likes it there because she begins to jump up and down in my arms as I carry her through the doors into her age devised room. She doesn't even cry when I leave, but when "Daddy" takes her she throws a huge fit. I think she's just a daddy's girl. I can't blame her though, I am too. I mentally wink at that last thought.
When I get home Jade's all ready to go and I still have on a shirt from last night. I go into my bedroom to see Josh looking snazzy as ever. I grab some clothes from the dresser and a towel and on the way to the bathroom, I smack Josh's butt. "Hey!" He says in a playful tone, but before I shut the door to the bathroom he sneaks up behind me and says,"When someone hits you, you hittem' back!" before hitting my behind. I laugh and turn around to kiss him. His arms snake around my waist. "How about I join you?" He asks. "First off, you're almost all the way dressed and ready. Second of all, Jade's here, and lastly, ew!" I say before shutting the door in one swift motion and locking it. I hear him laugh than walk away. He's so cute my cheeks burn.
After my shower, I dress in some skinny jeans, a nice blue top, and some black heels along with a white purse. I put my hair down and sunglasses on. "Is everyone ready?" I yell. "Yes!" Josh yells right next to me even though he's still quiffing up his hair. "Yes Ma'am!" Jade calls from downstairs. "Alrighty, lets ride Clyde." I say before giving Josh a peck on his cheek.
We walk downstairs hand in hand to see Jade standing in her cheer uniform. "You look so cute!" I say hugging her tightly. I've got tears in my eyes, but thank God for sunglasses. "Thanks, Mom. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous." She giggles. "Don't worry, it's in your blood! You know Josh was a cheerleader!" I laugh. "I was not!" He says. We all share a moment of happiness before getting into the car and driving to the competition.
After a fairly short drive, we arrive at the place. Before I send Jade to their dressing room or whatever, I give her a kiss and say, "Break a leg! Wait- no- no that's not right. Good luck!" I say leaving the room having everyone laugh at my lack of knowledge.
After I've gone through a pack of M&M's, a slim jim, and a bag of cool ranch doritos, they come out looking very professional. Jade's so small compared to them, but oh well. After it really gets going, they throw Jade up in the air, but they hold her foot. All of a sudden, I see her come tumbling down as a girl with brown hair comes racing towards her. Their music stops as I make my way through the bleachers running to get my little girl who's lying helpless on the floor hurt.
