Ch.6: School..Again

•••Jade's PoV•••

I hear Mom talking on the phone in the other room to someone about school. I mean, I know it was going to happen some day, but I hoped it wouldn't. She did talk to me about it last night, but that was normal! I didn't think she'd actually do anything about it. Mom is really funny, but she does get down to business when she needs to.

Mom comes in my room, so I put down my phone. "Hey, honey bunch!" she says standing in the doorway. "What's up?" I say. "You, Missy, are going to school! At a private school, more specifically." She says while her eyes light up. "Wow, what a surprise!" I say in a very sarcastic tone. Mom rolls her eyes and turns to walk away when she says, "You'll love it." Then she laughs and walks downstairs to where Willow is in her playpen.

I text Grey, whom I haven't mentioned in a while, that I'm going to school. It's not like I'll see him, anyway. His dad got back, but they moved back here. Turns out that they had family in France, but they are from America and just rent a house down there. He lives in Santa Monica though, and we live in Los Angeles.

I tromp down stairs and see dad shaking his butt while playing with Willow. "Dad, stop, please." I say. "Oh, you don't like all this?" he says smacking his behind. I pretend to throw up to prove that it's weird. Then, of course, Mom joins in and they say, "Is my body too bootylicious for ya babe?" I just laugh at them as they shake their bottom and Willow laughs hysterically.

"Gosh, this family." I laugh. They eventually stop and Dad orders some take out for lunch. I prefer the sweet and sour chicken with rice. Anyway, when the Asian cuisine gets here we all dig in like starving pigs. I never said my family was normal, but I know I'd hate it if we were.
