Sorry for the long wait, but I'm in school so please do not expect regular updates. It would be sporadic and I hope you enjoy it.

Chapter 2
It was long. But felt short. Three hours of jamming out to loud music and screaming at the top of my lungs was all I needed driving down to my grandmother's house. Her house, as muddy as I could remember, was a long brick house with white and black accents. Fully grown bushes of bright green leaves line the front of the house against the brick walls.
It had a small, large?
Both? I can't seem to remember, stone path leading to the steps that guided your eyes up to the front door with its midnight black paint, brass door knocker and handle. Patchy green and yellow, dead, grass covered the front lawn. It was all hazy trying to remember, for it had been years since I visited her. It's peaceful there, sitting on the porch watching the sunset.
I loved traveling on the road. It was peaceful, I felt free watching the other cars race by while driving. With the windows rolled down, wind blows through my hair. The breeze is cool and comforting against my body. The breeze passing the scent of the wilderness, filling the car.
Car horns blare up ahead. More and more start sounding even as I draw closer. Squinting through the gold hue of the sun shining against my car window. The white car I had been following, slams on its brakes. The red brake lights are blinding to my eyes. The moment becomes so slow. The slow motion feeling was weird. My body tingled with adrenaline, my veins pumping furiously with fear. As I slam on my own brakes. Swerving into the empty lane to my right. Pressing even harder on the brakes. Almost flooring it with fear. My eyes wide and my knuckles white, while I death grip the wheel. The metal railing on the side of the interstate was so close to the car, I would have failed my overnight curb parking on my driving test.
Finally stopping I was able to barely miss the car in front of me. Coming inches from death.
I peer over the steering wheel at the gigantic line of cars piled ahead. The wild eyes of other drivers could be seen looking around for answers. I was about an hour away now and it would be almost 12 if I were to walk.
Cardio? No thanks.
I glance back at the bed of my truck through my rearview window. My black motorcycle still strapped tightly to the bed of my black small truck. I switch my car radio to the news station and wait. The person speaking on the other end was talking about the outbreak of the infectious disease.
"The disease has spread across the US and parts of Europe already. The new virus has wiped out over 2 million people already. The cities being the most affected areas. If you are in a city we advise you to leave or stay in your homes as long as possible. Now let's turn it over to Tom. Tom, what have you got for us today?" I listened intently as I slowly started to fix my position in the lane. I gradually was able to get into a good spot and focus my attention back on the radio station.
"-cars piled up for miles out here Mary as many people are trying to flee or find family. It is expected to take from 12-48 hours for it to clear up. Some even say it may or may not take longer. Officials are on the scene and are working through this issue.
Thank you Tom now back to scarlet....," I looked back at the road weighing the options I had.
1.Walk
2.Motorcycle
3.Truck
4. Or die here.
I was in no condition to die here, I can't walk that far without the proper equipment. If I took my truck I would most likely crash it so the only logical option my small brain could come up with was to use my motorcycle and speed through the cars. So with the decisions weighted I hopped out the car and popped the tailgate down. Climbing in with a huff I was able to crouch and walk over to the bands. Unclipping them I stand up and grabbed the teatering bike before it fell onto the outer edge of my truck bed. Rolling it to the edge of the tailgate I try my best to gracefully get out of the bed and pull the bike down without it landing on top of me in the end. Inevitably crushing me.
