Myra All Mine

Chapter 11

Lucas's Pov
...

Amika and I were currently on the sofa in the living room since Myra was fast asleep. We were eating the pasta she made, while picking a movie

"Seriously, why didn't you open a restaurant much sooner than you did..."I said with a muffled voice since i had my mouth stuffed

"Swallow first, then talk...."she commanded

Now usually I didn't follow anybody's commands, nor did they give my any....but somehow I found myself listening to her commands

"This is really delicious Amika, honestly you should become my private chef because the world doesn't seem deserving of your cooking skills.." I said after swallowing my food
"Stop being so greedy, and besides what makes you think you are deserving, my cooking also isn't all that good..."She said while laughing

She looked so pretty with her cute little smile and her pineapple PJ's

" Because...hmm, I don't really know, I just think so...."I added

Amika finally found movie for us both to watch
Hmm...Jaws...

I didn't think Amika was one for horror movies, not that I'm complaining though
...

This movie was hilarious, honestly I didn't find it one bit scary at any moment

But Amika for some reason seemed to be traumatized, the scene was quite funny

She tightly held my t-shirt and hit her head at the back of of neck

"Amika, come on, it's really not that scary..."I said while trying to get her hand off of her hands
"Are you sure, the shark is gone...
"One hundred percent..." I reassured her

But it seemed like I was wrong, at the exact moment I told her to uncover her eyes, the shark showed up and this time it seemed very realistic

Amika screamed and pulled me through my shirt into her, causing her me to fall on her on the couch. I closed my eyes for a few seconds and when I opened them, Amika's eyes were tightly shut

I chuckled internally

I wish I could tug the hair that was on her face, behind her ear.Amika finally opened her eyes and immediately she did, it was like she froze

It was then, that I realized that we were only a few centimetres from each others faces

Our lips were so close to each other,her rosy lips which would always be in a smile around my daughter

I don't know why I had the sudden urge to kiss her.....

I don't know what I was doing but I suddenly inched forward,and I could've sworn I heard her suck in a breath

We got closer and closer and soon I could feel her breath on my lips....and closed my eyes and leaned in further

When suddenly a cup the cup fell off the table and we immediately moved away from each other, Amika while facing the other direction said" I'm very very sleepy... goodnight" she said while faking a yawn and suddenly went left without even hearing a response from me.

I couldn't help but smile.

Amika's Pov

When Lucas chose a horror movie, I immediately screamed internally

I am afraid of horror movies, not even a joke, like one time in high school, for the Halloween special day, the movie that got picked was....Chucky

it's safe to say that I kept all my stuffed toys in a box far away from me, sealed shut
