Chapter 24

Lucas's Pov
...

I was nearly at Amika's place when I suddenly received a call from an unknown number..

I parked my car in one of the empty gas stations along the road and answered the call
"Hello..."
"Mr Neviera, or should I say Lucas...."
" Who is this....and why are you calling...." I said sensing the hostility in the caller's voice
"Listen, you may not know me but I know you.....and I know what you are doing and where you are going.....if you even think of pulling off any stunts.....the girl and the child will face the consequences., I have a team of men, who will be ready strike at any moment...."

"If you even think of hurting either of them....I swear...." I tried to threaten

"What will you do.....you don't even know who I am....so stick to the plan..." with that the caller ended the call leaving me in my thoughts...

"And that is exactly what we wanted to know....good job Lucas for sounding so suprised...." Jamie said through the speaker in my ear

"Don't worry, they can't hear us since it's directly in my ear."....I thought

We'd suspected that the chip in my neck so obvious to anyone would be a trap.....we just wanted to see if they could still sense my movements and it was clear they could....

How they knew, we were still trying to figure that out....but for now I needed to stay as far away as possible from Amika...

Amika's Pov
...

I was now about 6 weeks pregnant and honestly.....all the hormones just got more and more intense...

Morning Sickness is so much harder to deal with.... especially since I throw up atleast 3 times in the morning

Every morning....

Little Baby....what did I do to deserve this

Luckily my hormones aren't too intense, so I don't feel too overly emotional....The cravings get stranger and stranger...

Pickles and chocolate syrup....
Orange Slices and Hot sauce
Prawn Chips and Vinegar....

And I didn't know about the smell cravings as well....I've been loving the smell of car tires recently....but don't expect to find me sniffing one

Myra is currently at her dad's house......she missed him alot...so she asked me to take her there.....But Courtney, who flew here  the day Lucas and Eva's engagement was announced to come snd check up on how I was doing. Obviously I told her that I was fine and that I took the news really well....which obviously wasn't true....Courtney seemed really angry about the news.., but she said she wouldn't interfere in Lucas and I's life.....and would support the both of us in our decisions
So Courtney took Myra there herself.... and to visit her son as well....

She's been there for atleast a week now.....I miss her alot...but I need to focus on myself as well... especially with this baby

I reopened the restaurant as well....and it was as a success as it was the very first day I opened it.....only worse now

Tara had been helping me with the restaurant as there were alot of customers asking for the infamous Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese that I served during it's first days. Tara left 3 days ago, but she told me that if I didn't call her every 2 days, she'd find a way to murder me without harming the baby

And to answer the question everyone is probably wondering about.....only one person knows about my pregnancy.... I'm sure if Courtney stayed more than a day....she would've known

Because she said I looked paler and more weak....sooner or later, if she saw me throwing up she would've concluded that I infact had a bun in the oven
