✦⋆✦ Leonhart, age 13 ✦⋆✦

I sat in class not really following along. After Axel, Atticus, and Ellie drilled me with over 100 questions about being a 'De Luca', I couldn't help but wonder why everyone was acting weird. I tapped my pen, staring out the window behind me. It looked like rain today....

"Mr De Luca." Mr Otto startled me, slamming his ruler down on my desk. I turned fast in my seat, and then stood quickly, only knocking my seat over.

"Dumb ass." Gavin scoffed, earning a glare from Mr. Otto before he turned back to me.

"How about you daydream in our own free time?" He raised a brow at me. Why was he simply so...mean?

"Is there an app I can download to make you go away?" I mumbled, looking at my desk.

"Excuse me?"

Did I say that out loud? I have a bad habit of that lately. "I said I heard you, and I'll pay attention," I stated, taking my seat after picking my chair up. He glared at me for longer than a few seconds and then went back to the front of the class.

"Dude, you come off as this timid quiet kid we met first at the mall, but the more I'm with you..." Axel spoke and paused, looking at me. I tensed up. Was I making a bad impression? "I like you!" Axel beamed. The class laughed and I looked around, only now realizing they took that the wrong way. Dumb 13 year olds. Myself included.

"Fags." Gavin's voice chimed from the seat he sat in. I glared over at him. What was his issue! Ever since the mall, which he started, since he was the one who kicked and shoved me at the entrance and then in the back of the store.

"Ignore him." Atticus chimed in, and I looked at him. He gave me a piece of gum and went back to his history book. School was almost over. It wasn't too bad today. Did I want to come back tomorrow? NO!

I nod for a thanks for the gum. Ellie didn't ask as she reached over her hand to Atticus waiting for gum.

"I don't have anymore," Atticus whispered, which Ellie sighed. I immediately dropped the gun in from of Ellie since I hadn't eaten it or opened it yet.

"No, it's yours." She passed it back.

"I don't mind." I dropped it back in front of her.

"He gave it to you first." She dropped it back.

"I said it's fine." I dropped it back.

"Leonhart." She hissed. "Ke-"

"Don't mind if I do!" Axel grabbed the gum and opened it in seconds, dropping it in his mouth. Ellie scoffed and I held a smirk back. I turned the page in my history book.

Okay, maybe I did want to come back tomorrow.

♕°°♕ Genevieve POV ♕°°♕

I don't normally have time to spy on my siblings. Yet, for some reason, I was a little worried about how Leonhart would do on his first day. It's wrong of me to be outside the class window, but it's cracked open, and well, like I said, I was worried. I also knew where Mr Otto's class was. Phoebe was in his class when she was 13, until she went from A's to B's all the way to D's...

I overheard a few things. One, Mr Otto was being a little rude, but nothing too serious right now. Leonhart seems to get along with the kids at his table, but that one voice I heard call Leo and another boy a fag, well, I'm going to ask Mr Jones more about that boy.
