Chapter 19 ~ falling into place ~

Saturday morning dawned bright and early and Kallan woke up wrapped around Chai Son but when he tried to extricate himself, Chai Son pulled him back,

"not so fast sweet thing" he said as he kissed his little monkey.

"what ... again?" Kallan asked as Chai Son smoothed his hand down Kallan's body.

"what can I say, I missed you baby" Chai Son smiled as he sprinkled kisses all over Kallan's face and neck.

"I need to ... ahhhhmmm" Kallan began only to be overpowered by his amorous bed mate.

Two hours later the pair woke up again and this time Kallan managed to successfully escape to the bathroom to wash up much to Chai Son's regret, if he had his way they would stay in bed all weekend.

Sighing, he climbed out of bed and walked into the kitchen to start the coffee then when Kallan emerged from the bathroom, as much as Chai Son was tempted to jump him again he went to wash up himself.

Soon they both sat enjoying a leisurely breakfast of omelette and rice and Kallan asked Chai Son what he thought of his new SUV.

"well it's better for driving around up here baby, safer too" Chai Son replied.

"I just thought I needed something more practical if I'm going to be spending a lot of time up here with you" Kallan smiled.

"so what's on the agenda today?" Chai Son asked Kallan.

"I have to pop up to the factory but I shouldn't be long, a couple of hours tops" Kallan said.

"well I suppose I'll get a bit more work done on my customers car if you don't want me to come with you" Chai Son pouted.

"it's not that I don't want you to come with me baby, I just don't want to tell you my plans yet, trust me it'll be worth the wait" Kallan said.

"you're not going to open up a garage and put me out of business are you?" Chai Son teased him.

"fool" Kallan laughed as they finished their breakfast.

"I'll wash the dishes baby if you want to get off, the sooner you do, the sooner you'll get back to me and be careful, will you be able to find your way ok?"

"yes baby, don't worry na" Kallan reassured Chai Son that he would be ok.

Within the hour Kallan had set off and the first place he wanted to visit was Nana's veterinarian surgery, it had been a few weeks since they had met and talked and he felt guilty about not calling sooner but he had been so busy.

Pulling in front of her surgery, he climbed out of his vehicle and walked inside, the old fashioned bell on the door jingling to let Nana know that someone was here.

"come on through, I'm in the back" a voice called out.

Kallan walked through the open door and followed the noise of splashing water that he could hear until he came to a room with a large metal sink.

He found Nana struggling with a very unhappy cat as she tried to bathe it.

"can I help?" Kallan asked.

"oh, hey Kallan, could you maybe hold his collar while I get him rinsed down properly" Nana asked.

"sure, hey little guy, are you getting a bath?" Kallan asked the furious feline who glared up at him as if he wanted to rip his throat out before giving a pathetic meow.

"oh baby, you know it's for your own good" Nana said to the cat as she rinsed him off.

"fleas?" Kallan asked.
