Kearney's Perspective

'Simple, Aubry,' I purr. 'To ruin you. To leave you so broken you have no pieces left to put back together. That would make things "even Steven.." square.'

Her eyes widen. She holds her belly tighter. My voice carries even though it does not have to. 'When are you going to tell him the truth about that thing you are clutching?'

Her hand tightens its grip. She yells, 'I don't know what you are even taking about, you loser!'

I raise an eyebrow. Before she can say anything else, orally or mentally, I snap my fingers, placing her in a soundproof bubble. 'Oh, alpha baby. Oh, alpha baby,' I sing and turn my head to the right watching him from behind the cell bars. 'I hate to break your fantasy of a perfect mate and family, but this rotten piece of shit is playing you for a fool.'

'You will not speak about my mate like that,' he retorts oddly calm which makes me give him my full attention.

'Have you not been listening? Like this person is not even who you know.' I squint my eyes and shrug my shoulders with my palms up.

'The Goddess --'

'Ohhhhhh,' I drag it out longer than it needed to be. 'You are one of those devouts. Again, dumbass, you have been played like a good game.'

I take a breath, sighing it out. 'Let me put it to you like this..'

'No! The alpha doesn't want to hear anything from your filthy mouth!' yells out another voice.

'Fucking shut up and release our luna!' another yells. More and more courses of the same line served in different ways are directed at me. So, I use another tactic. Drawing more inner power, I look in the alpha's eyes, locking him in a trance and a battle of wills.

His wolf comes after mine. His dark brown, nearly black, wolf takes a running start and jumps for my wolf's back. She's strong and moves to evade his pounce. This proves to be a few seconds too late as his claws swipe the flesh at her shoulder.

Taking a move from domestic dogs, she rolls out of his snarling jaws reach and moves backward, adding more distance between them. She wants him to think that we are weak, that he can take us, and make us submit.

His anger is ruling his thoughts, blinding him. He makes a wild swipe as he jumps again. She runs in. Sort of crouch sliding under him, she is under his hulking beast and slices deep in his under belly. He roars in pain and anger. Trying to get at us again, she quickly bites his tail, sinking her teeth into it to grip the bone. She pills hard and yanks him across the mental field, I've built with magic.

His large form flies several feet before landing hard on the ground on his back. She waits a few moments. He is not moving. Thinking he is waiting for her to charge him, she slowly makes her way over keeping her guard up. We know with that toss, we have broken his tail easily. And that cut down his belly to his groin is not pretty either. We smell blood, and a lot of it, but alphas are not known for giving up or standing down. Stubborn fuckers.

We are within three feet of him, and he rolls over. Moving quickly the movement is nearly missed. His jaws snap and tear at my wolf's chest. Searing pain rips through the both of us, causing the human form to cough up blood. My anger boils. I only brought him here to prove he was not match, but clearly, I am in my own ego.

Blood drips down her fur, dirtying the gray blends. Her black eyes fire an angry glare in his direction. She growls deeply in the pit of her diaphragm. She sound vibrates throughout the field. The gray wolf moves around the dark brown one. He comes after her, snarling at her every step of the way. She pushes harder, adding distance from him.

Again, she makes her stance, waiting to end this game of tag. He grows at her too. His hindlegs wet from the blood of her swipe. The pads of his paws dig into the ground. There is a banging that sounds, which shoots each wolf racing toward each other. He decides to go straight for her neck and chest in a single kill move. His sharp teeth are exposed as he jumps to sink them into her flesh.

She moves her head slightly downward while he was coming down to bite at her, and jumps up. Her hard head collides with the downed jaw and forces is back into place. His jaw snaps shut with a very loud crack. The force of the hit changes his direction causing him to fall backwards. She is over him within seconds, digging her teeth, not in the soft of his neck for normal submission but as his balls. Her teeth are applying hard pressure, not quiet enough to break the fleshy sack. But there is enough that if he moved, they would be removed from his wolf's body.

You should really give it up now, her voice echoes around them. He doesn't answer, and she yanks them. He yelps and gives a low gurgling whine. Do you give up foolish, dog? Blink twice, since you choose not to speak.

She is huffy and not playing. I think this is because she doesn't really like random balls in her mouth. I chuckle at her plight, but it was my idea. I knew the fighting would take forever. I couldn't let her kill him.

Slowly, the darker wolf closed its eyes twice in quick cession. She releases her hold on his balls and moved back a few feet, giving him space to wallow in his loss.

Don't worry, mighty alpha, no one was privy to this little battle. No need to be embarrassed you lost to a.. shewolf, she added the last bit with a chuckle.

The other rolls his eyes and moves it sit up. How do we get out of here?

My human, Arney. I will let him know, but you.. she huffs. Since I have you here, you will listen.

That woman.. she is not carrying your pups.

The other wolf growls. You may have won this battle but you will not disrespect my human's mate!

It is her turn to scoff and eyeroll. She counters, Answer this, ole mutt. He growls as this remark too. Have you smelled actual pregnancy on her or heard the heartbeat of your child with those mighty ears?

Those pheromones she is sending out are conjured. Any low level witch or mage can make her a solution. Think about it, mutt. Tell your human.

Arney, she yells with a yelping howl.
