It's Always Been You

Back at the dropship

(Y/ns pov)
Clarke and I headed back up to camp when we got there people bombared us with questions "is there a chance for truce?" My mother asked Clarke and I stopped walking and looked at each other "yes but they want something in return." Clarke stated "what do they want?" Finn asked how do you tell your best friend that he has to die so we can have a truce.

"They want you." I said looking directly at him i could feel his pain I knew how he felt and it wasn't good my heart hurt for him.

People began shouting saying to give him to the grounders I took him away from it the others followed  "what should we do?" I wasn't really paying attention to the conversation the only thing on my mind was the fact that Finn would die.

I felt a hand on my shoulder it took me out of my thoughts it was Finn "you okay?" I nodded but he knew me better than that and grabbed my hand and led me away from the others i could practically feel the jealousy on Bellamy's face.

Finn had pulled me into the hallway "y/n I know you better than anyone what's wrong?" I don't know Finn what do you think is wrong? "I'm going to lose my best friend." He looked at me with a sad look.

"Y/n listen to me if anyone can convince her not to kill me it's you I trust you more than anyone." He put so much faith in me that I didn't know what to do how on earth would I convince Lexa to spare his life.

"Okay I'll try." He smiled and hugged me Finn was all I had most of the time he deserved to live more than I did he was needed.

We walked back into the room and now i could really see the jealousy on Bellamy's face so I stood by him he smiled a little bit and rested his arm around my shoulders we made a plan to go out and find something I don't exactly remember what we were going after because the events leading to it was terrifying I had never felt this close to death before.

We were walking in the woods with some of the guards from the ark it was only Bellamy Octavia and I when we heard the horn "acid fog." I said as we ran into a parking garage before it could consume us we were looking around the two gaurds went one way Bellamy Octavia and I went the other when we heard them scream we raced back to them and saw someone eating them I immediately knew what it was "reaper." I whispered but Octavia spoke loudly.

"Lincoln?" When the reaper looked up it was Lincoln he was alive I hadn't seen him in forever but this was not Lincoln I knew it was physically but mentally it wasn't mentally he didn't exist so we ran found a car and hid inside Octavia was in the front Bellamy and I in the back all three of us on the floor boards I had my head buried into Bellamy and he has his arms wrapped around me.

As Lincoln scouted around the car I kept as quiet as I could we all did after some time had passed Octavia spoke "we need to get out there and get Lincoln back."

Bellamy began to speak "I'm not risking either of you I'll go "no it's too dangerous Lincoln is not Lincoln anymore he's a reaper I've seen them they are vicious he's long gone by now Tavia I'm sorry."

I felt bad for her she loved him but there was no chance at saving him "y/n don't give up on him please!" Part of me already had but the other part didn't want to and I knew that for Octavia's sake I couldn't.

"Fine I'll go I've delt with them before I can handle it." I knew Bellamy wouldn't agree but he didn't have a choice I was going to do it anyway.

As I stepped out of the car I shut the door as quietly as possible then headed back over to the gaurds there was a stun baton there that i could use against him but if I were to make a run for it he would see me so I grabbed a rock I found on the ground and threw it at a car the was far away when he heard it hit he got up and ran towards it.

Then I made my move for the baton I needed to hide now so I hid behind some cars when Lincoln returned he had noticed me and came charging at me I went to use the stun baton but he threw it before I could now I had zero options so I ran he followed behind me and if he was a reaper he still had Lincoln triats i couldn't take him in a fight no matter how hard I tried.

I eventually fought back but he began to choke me out I tried so hard to get free but someone hit him in the head so hard he'd passed out it was Bellamy I jumped up and wrapped my arms around him I was so close to death and if it wasn't for him I would be dead.

We took Lincoln back to the drop ship we got Clarke there and we tried to help him but he almost got free so we had to tie him to the floor "I need to go get our mother she'll know what to do." She spoke "wait Clarke bring Lexa too I have an idea." She nodded and left.

As time passed we didn't know what was going on when the hatch opened in came Clarke Mom Lexa and another grounder came through.

"What is this about y/n?" Lexa questioned i shot up from the floor "I know how to save the reapers." She raised an eyebrow "how?" I had a hunch "we just need to keep them alive till the drug leaves their system." Just then Lincoln freaked out then he stopped breathing.

Lexa didn't like that very much and acussed me of lying when my mom shocked him with the baton "do it again." I demanded and she did he finally woke up but he was Lincoln again not a reaper how I knew that is his first word was Octavia Lexa was in shock then she left so did the rest of us back to camp to come up with a plan for Finn.
