Finn's life

(Finns pov)

I sat at camp waiting for y/n's return I was anxious I hoped that she'd come back saying that she worked it out and that I was safe I prayed for it I craved it but part of me knew that wasn't true when I saw her face.

I ran up to her "so how did it go?" She didn't look at me "they still want you it doesn't matter now we need a plan." That was hard to hear "okay so any ideas?" I hoped she'd had one she opened her mouth to speak but someone else did.

"Yeah we hand you over!" Everyone crowded around us y/n protectively stood in front of me "okay we need to get you out of here." She said and we took off our other friends followed suit behind us we snuck out of camp.

Y/n and I were walking to the drop ship then plan to meet everyone there Clarke offered to come with me but y/n insisted it was her we heard noise coming from the woods and I knew that grounders were here y/n protectively stood infront of me but I pushed her behind me and scared off the grounders by yelling at them to get out of here and they did.

We arrived at the drop ship and come up with a plan I was terrified I knew I was going to die I just hoped they didn't take y/n down with me she deserved to live more than I did I needed her to live for me I pulled her aside from the arguing group to tell her that.

"Finn we're trying to-" I interrupted her "no matter what happens to me I need you to live can you do that?" I saw the tears well in her eyes she shook her head "promise me y/n." She nodded "I promise but I also promise I'm going to do whatever I have to to save you." I nodded and they pulled us out of our conversation "guys we're surrounded."

We came up with a plan but I had my own plan we split up Murphy too the top level the others took the gate and i took the lowest but once everyone was in position I made my way out of the drop ship they weren't dying for me.

"Wait Finn what are you doing?" Raven called but I didn't respond I just walked passed them and the grounders took ahold of me I saw the tears fall from y/ns eyes and it broke my heart but this had to be done they took me into the woods.

(Y/ns pov)

I felt hot tears falling from my eyes as Finn was taken into the forest as I watched my best friend head towards his death I had no idea how to save him I hadn't thought about it yet and now he was dead they were going to kill him and I wouldn't even get to say goodbye.

I felt arms around me as I stared into the abyss waiting for something anything any sign of Finn but nothing "y/n we need to go." Bellamy spoke but how could I leave him behind how could I leave my best friend behind?

"I can't I had Finn and I let him slip through my fingers bell I let him down! How can I leave him behind?" I turned to face him "tell me? How am I supposed to leave him behind like this?" He didn't know either and I saw that.

"I don't know but what I do know is he wouldn't want this for you we need to get back before they come for us too." Would that be a bad thing? "Let them Finn was all I had! When I was at my lowest he was there! When no one else was I can't lose him!"

Bellamy pulled me into a hug and I sobbed I needed Finn I couldn't just give up I had to try we headed back to camp and as night came they had a pole placed and i immediately knew what they were doing they were going to make us watch Clarke and I made a plan but Raven stopped us.

"Clarke if she doesn't let him live you kill her." She nodded as raven slid a knife into her sleeve and we walked down to the commander and the one named Indra held a spear to my stomach I walked into it "you bleed for nothing." I just looked at her "let them pass!"

We walked over to lexa and Clarke began to speak "please Kill me Finn did it for us." Lexa kept a stone face the whole time "then he dies for you both." I couldn't let him die without trying "have you ever had someone you love killed?" She turned to me with a look in her eyes I couldn't place it.

"Please Lexa! He's the only person who has seen me for me the only person that has always been there for me I can't lose him not yet." I began to cry think of losing him killed me.

"Costia she was my... friend I lost her she to me was like Finn for you but Finn murdered my people costia didn't." I didn't want to think about that right now .

"Please Lexa you know what it's like to lose someone you love and I love him more than anyone or anything he's all I have ever had please don't kill him I can't lose him don't put me through what you went with Costia."

She looked at me with empathy she felt my feelings "I know Finn he is a good person I can prove it just give me that chance." She nodded "prove it and he lives." I nodded "stay here Clarke." She nodded and I walked over to Finn.

"Hey apologize tell them the truth about how sorry you are and tell them how bad you feel." I know he felt bad about it i could tell I knew him better than anyone.

"IM SORRY FOR ALL OF IT I KNOW WHAT I DID BUT THAT WASNT ME I MEAN IT WAS ME BUT IT WASNT THAT KID WAS SCARED SCARED THAT HE HAD LOST HIS BEST FRIEND AND THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE IM SO SORRY I WISH I COULD TAKE IT BACK AND I KNOW THAT I CANT BUT I ASK THAT YOU FORGIVE ME...BECAUSE IF YOU WERE IN MY SHOES YOU WOULDVE DONE THE SAME SO PLEASE!" I looked to Lexa and walked back to her.

"So? Was that enough?" She nodded "set him free now." And the grounders let him go no questions asked I ran over to him and jumped in his arms he held me and a tight imbrace "I knew you could do it." He whispered and we walked back up to the camp I stood and turned back to Lexa "thank you." She nodded and we continued and walked through the gate. Finn was safe and I was glad for that but the question still hung did we have a truce?

Yes I did save Finn I personally believe he didn't deserve to die please don't be mad at me for that Finn gets to live in my story I have a plan on how to incorporate him as well and i promise not much will change till next chapter <3
