Taehyung was scared. The place that was his home for the past two years did not even feel like a familiar house anymore. The people there were so distant. Looks of disgust and disappointment filled up in their orbs, everytime they peered at him. He felt like a criminal.
And maybe he was.
A family that had accepted an abandoned and orphaned male omega wholeheartedly, a mate who loved him with all his heart and a friend who was more of a brother to him. He had betrayed them. He had broken their trust. Something for which he would never stop feeling guilty. Just thinking about it brought tears to his eyes.
With great difficulty he somehow gulped the lump stuck in his throat, standing in the middle of the staircase with a broken heart. He did not know how he was going to fight through it all. He did not know how he was going to be strong because truly speaking he was not. He was not strong and confident. He had never been. These circumstances were too much for him.
Being an abandoned omega had always been difficult but now he had more baggage on his shoulders. His mate had rejected him, he had cheating allegations on himself, he had to marry a man whom he considered to be his brother and on top of everything he was pregnant.
His baby and Yoongi were probably the only good in his life for now.
Please make everything alright moon goddess. Please. I beg you. A silent prayer buzzed inside his soul and dejectedly he turned away. He was not ready to face anyone. He just couldn't do it. His courage had already shattered that fateful night itself.
"Tae! Stop right there."
The omega closed his eyes. Sighing out in defeat on being seen before he could make his way back to the room. Slowly he faced the new presence and smiled. "H...hyung, I.....I was just......." He stuttered.
"Come down and eat something." Yoongi softly cut him off. "You've not had anything since last night. It's lunch time now. The baby must be hungry too. Don't punish them atleast."
Taehyung pursed his lips together, his hands fiddling with each other in the meanwhile. "But I don't want to disturb the others. I'll have it later."
"No!" Yoongi shook his head and hastily walked in the omega's direction. "You are coming with me and we are having our food together. I'm not going to let you be all alone. You don't have to be scared. I'll protect you."
And then Taehyung was being pulled towards the dining hall. His heart beating faster with every step they took towards the familiar place. He felt like crying for a million reasons. He wished for Yoongi to let him go but at the same time he wanted to be there for the elder too. Yoongi was someone he loved from the bottom of his heart afterall.
"Why are you bringing him here Yoongi? I told you not to show his face to us." Jiha, his mother inquired.
But the alpha just ignored those questions and pulled out a chair for Taehyung right next to his own seat. With utmost care he made the boy take a place at the table and then started plating some food for him.
"YOONGI!!" Jiha shouted. "I'm asking you something. Why are you bringing this lowlife here? I told you not to bring this sl........"
"STOP IT EOMMA!" Yoongi roared. His eyes flickering between brown and red. "DON'T YOU DARE COMPLETE THAT SENTENCE. He is my husband now and I won't let anyone treat him this way. If you have a problem, you leave but he won't."
"Yoongi how can you say these rude things to your mother? That too for someone like this omega? I can't believe you right now. That's not something I expected from you."
The alpha breathed out heavily, his hand running through his hair in frustration. "Aunt Haeri I've told you this thing before as well and I will repeat myself again. You and your daughter should keep their nose out of our business. Yes, we welcomed you both here when you lost everything but that doesn't give you the right to comment on matters related to my family. Don't make me regret this choice."
"Yo....Yoongi......." Jiha called out for him in a teary voice. She was shocked at the harshness of those words. She felt unimportant with everything being directed at them by her own blood. "Why did you become like this? Why?"
"You guys should ask this question from yourself." The male scoffed. His eyes locking to Taehyung's who was looking at him with nothing but concern. There were tears of empathy in his eyes, something for which the elder was more than thankful.
"We had begged you all too, each one of you to give us a chance. Do you think Jungkook and Jimin were the only ones heartbroken that day? We both were just as much. We do not even know what happened to us that night. Every memory of that night is blank for both of us but no one is ready to listen to our side. We are but cheaters at the end of the day.
I do understand Jungkook and Jimin not wishing to see our faces but you all? Shouldn't you have given us a chance to explain ourselves? You were suppose to be unbiased Eomma. You should have asked me if I really did all that and if not then you should have helped me to prove my innocence instead. But all we've got from you are your harsh words and ignorance.
Don't blame it on me if you get hurt by my words now. I have decided what I want to do and no one can stop me doing all those things. I'll make sure to prove our innocence. I'll make sure that none of you ever hurt me or Taehyung again with your attitude.
I'll make you regret your choices."

New characters unlocked. I hope things are getting interesting and messier just as I had planned.
You know the drill. 50+ votes and comments for the next chapter. (P.S. - I have to do this shit because otherwise most of you don't interact. It's very disappointing honestly.)
