"Tell me everything. I want to know the truth."
Jungkook looked impatient as he barged inside the practice room. His frantic eyes looking for answers. Answers to questions he had no idea of. He just wished for someone to clear away this haze in his mind. He hated not remembering his life or even himself.
"Why should I?" Jimin scoffed. "Weren't you the one who rejected my proposal two days ago? I thought you did not want to get involved in something that might end up hurting someone."
"I have been seeing these dreams ever since I woke up after the accident." Jungkook sighed. He hated sounding so helpless but Jimin was probably the only one who could bring him out of this quicksand of lost memories. "At first I thought they were just random scenarios my mind was creating. I always saw a shadow like person asking for my forgiveness but it was difficult to point out who it was. Although after everything you told me I saw Taehyung instead of that shadow.
And you know this is not the only thing that has been bothering me for the past few days. That day while returning home I saw a vendor selling some strawberries and instinctively I thought of buying them. It was as if I was used to it. I was not sure about who was I suppose to give them to but it turned out to be Taehyung in the end. All of this can't be a coincidence, right?"
"No. It isn't a coincidence Jungkook. Even after forgetting him, your body keeps loving him the way it used to. You were crazily and hopelessly in love with him. It's in your nature to care and fend for that omega but look what it brought to you. Your love was nothing for him." Jimin spat out venomously.
The intensity in his eyes spoke volumes of how hurt and in pain he was. But along with it Jungkook could also see the fire of revenge. A fire that was ready to burn down its perpetrator.
"You see this Jungkook." Jimin continued. His hand pulling out a silver chain hanging around his neck from under his bodysuit. A ring was adorned to it, shining with all its glory. "This is my engagement ring. I was engaged to your brother. We were suppose to get married in December this year. I was dreaming about a happy future like a person lost in love and then was pushed down to the pits of darkness in a span of a night."
"I'm sorry." Jungkook whispered. He could feel how genuine Jimin's sorrow was. He could feel that each and every word from the omega was nothing but the truth. "I'm sorry you had to go through that. I don't.......I don't know what to say and what to think about the situation."
"It's okay." The elder laughed. "You were worse than me. Before you lost your memories, your condition was bad. It looked like you would go crazy and lose control over yourself."
"How bad was I?" Jungkook was curious. Funny how he didn't remember his own heartbreak.
"You closed yourself off for a week and didn't come out of your room at all. Everyone kept trying to coax you but nothing worked. Then suddenly one day you vanished. No one knew where you went or if you were even alive. Yoongi and Taehyung both were going crazy over you, forgetting that they were the sole reason for your disappearance in the first place.
Then after about a month and a half you came back completely numb, I'll say. It was as if you left all your feelings at that place you went to. Your arrival was a relief to all of us but then another drama took place. Taehyung suddenly told you that he was pregnant but guess what? The child turned out to be Yoongi's."
Jungkook closed his eyes. A scene of his own self crying inside his room flashing before his eyes. A shaky breath escaped his lips as he tried to keep himself steady. "Then....How.....How did I get into the accident?" He mumbled, wishing to know more.
"You were having an argument with Taehyung. I don't know much but that day you rejected him and your mate bond. After that you got into an accident and were unconscious for twenty days. When you woke up you didn't remember who a lot of us were. That's your sad story Jungkook."
"We were mated?" The trueblood asked in disbelief.
"Yes. You were." Jimin nodded. "You had also planned to propose him on our wedding day. It was something only me and Yoongi knew. Our family and friends were unaware of it but truly it wouldn't have been a surprise for any of them. We always knew that you guys were already married in your minds. The ceremony would have only been a formality."
"And what about you and hyung? How was your relationship like?"
"A dream. For an orphan like me Yoongi was a dream that felt too unreal." Jimin smiled remembering the sweet days. "He was perfect for my heart and soul. With him I was the happiest Jungkook. He was my home and my comfort. My everything. He loved me in a way that made me believe in fairytales. I was a fool I guess? I should have thought it through before giving myself completely to him. He was too unreal to be true."
Jungkook looked away from the ballerina. The tears in those eyes appreared like a reflection of his own unknown sorrows. He felt his heart clenching at the words and view. It was as if this pain was something he was familiar with. It was as if this pain was something he had experienced. And maybe he had!
"And you know what the most painful part of it all is Jungkook?"
Jimin's voice brought him back from his land of thoughts. He looked up only to lock eyes with the other. "They never denied it. Not even once. All they said was that they didn't know what happened. They kept apologising and then saying that they had no idea of their own actions. Sad! Isn't it?"
The alpha's breath hitched at the revelation.
"They said they didn't know?" He asked receiving a nod in return.
"Then......" The male breathed out, his new and sane instincts forcing the query out. ".......did we try to find the reason behind..........
their lost memories from that night?"
