The last day of the festival was uneventful for the most part, except for the big concert at the end of the day. But after that, there was really nothing else to do but wait until the new school year started.
The week leading up to it was mostly full of unpacking, practicing, and writing new songs. The night before the first day, (Y/N) wasn't all too nervous since it seemed that everyone had taken a liking to her, but she couldn't help but feel that maybe it was all an act and no one actually liked her. But then she dismissed this idea, thinking it was silly, and just tried to relax.
*♥∼♥∼♥∼♥*
The silly thought did not go away as she originally expected it to. It stayed with her throughout the night and even on her way to school. "You'll have nothing to worry about sweetie." her mother tried to console her daughter who had a grim face. "The friends I met seemed lovely and they liked you, so there is nothing to worry about!" Oh, but there was a lot to worry about. Sure, she met some people, but there is no guarantee that they'll be in the same classes as her. They arrived at the school, and the blonde-colored woman waved her daughter goodbye and drove off. (Y/N) looked around at the semi-packed schoolyard. She walked in and tried looking for some of her friends before getting stopped by a group of girls
"Hey girl!" Excuse me? (Y/N) didn't know these people, why are they trying to be nice to her? She was suspicious of the girl who started talking to her because of the rest of the group behind her giggling and what seemed to be judging.
"Hello! Anyone in there? Feels like I'm talking to a statue..." the girl said that last part under her breath, but (Y/N) heard it. She just stood awkwardly as the interaction continued, but before it continued, someone spoke up.
"(Y/N)-ya? What are you-" he stopped mid-sentence to process the situation occurring.
"Excuse me, whoever you are. It's rude to interrupt a conversation!" the girl tried to sound happy but you could tell her voice was laced with venom. (Y/N) looked at Law, asking for help to get out of this situation.
"Actually, she wasn't talking to you, so how could it be a conversation?" Law retorted back, taking (Y/N) by the arm and walking away.
"God, thank you so much."
"It was no problem," they fell into a comfortable silence, walking to who knows where. She realized that maybe she was supposed to go her own way a while ago when they got to his locker.
"I think I'm going to go find my class now. Sorry I followed you all the way over here," her voice started to go quieter as the sentence went on. She felt embarrassed to be following him for this long.
"If you want..." he breathed out, "...I help you find your class." (Y/N) looked a bit stunned. "Only if you want," Law blurted out after she followed his previous sentence with silence. The girl honestly was a bit surprised by his offer, considering that they barely talked to each other at the music festival. She accepted his offer and they walked to her first class.
As they continued to walk, Law realized that the way they were going was too familiar. They stood outside the classroom, one in awe and the other in shock. (Y/N) looked around at the different posters and materials. Science was her first class and apparently Law's too. They seemed to switch roles as (Y/N) walked inside with Law trailing behind her. He looked around at all the other tables that were taken. He only knew the girl in that class so he thought why not? As she was getting her supplies out of her bag, he put his bag down and sat right next to her. She had forgotten about him but paid no mind as class was about to start.

Lunch had finally arrived and (Y/N) could finally breathe. The classes have been overbearing with the amount of work they're assigning already. It's only been the first day? She got pretty lucky with her classes though, she had at least someone she knew every one of them. She had Nami in the class she was just in and now they were walking to the cafeteria together.
"Finally, those classes have been boring haven't they!" Nami sparked up the conversation. Come to think of it, she's been starting them since you met her. (Y/N) just nods her head in return as she begins eating. "Hm. Seems you don't talk that much do you!" (Y/N) just stayed silent looking at her. Before she could answer, the rest of the group arrived at the table. She felt relieved escaping the berating questions and endless talking from Nami. She understands she's a talkative person but god!
Multiple conversations were going on at the table and (Y/N) decided to talk to the green and blonde-haired boys. She spoke to them about her day and the new lyrics she came up with for the song they had previously worked on.
The bell rang for them to go to the last couple of classes for the day and they went by quickly. (Y/N) was able to get some fresh air after class before walking to the nearby diner to wait for her mom. She walked into the 80s-like diner and sat at a booth. A waiter came up to her and she just asked for an iced coffee, nothing else.
(Y/N) looked up from her phone to see the same girls trying to talk to her this morning. She instinctively shrunk in her seat, hoping they wouldn't see her. Her luck seemed to have run out because they spotted her immediately.
"Hey girl! You want to say something to me?" (Y/N) stared at her confused. She literally said nothing last time. "What no even a 'sorry I ran before'?" Oh, that's what she was talking about. To be fair, she was dragged away. Purposefully, but not her first intention. "Again with this statue shit...listen! Let's be friends since you seem new here and of course you wouldn't have many friends," the girl beamed brightly. Silence was returned once again. "Oh, what gives-!"
"Oh, hey (Y/N)! What are you doing here?" Saved by the bell once again. Kid came up to the table (Y/N) was sitting at.
"For the love of god. Can you please leave! We are trying to have a conversation here!" The girl was annoyed to say the least. How could this same interaction happen twice in one day? Kid better not say the same snarky remark the other boy came up with the other time.
"Boa, shut your trap, clearly the girl doesn't want to talk to you," The girl, who was finally revealed to be Boa, had her mouth agape. Finally, she turned into the statue that she was so annoyed at. At last, (Y/N) spotted her mother's car bid farewell and thanked Kid on her way out.
Once she got into her mother's car, the blonde couldn't stop asking and talking about her first day. Sure it was uneventful for the most part, aside from the strange interaction from the Boa girl, but uneventful to say the least. She got home and went straight to her room, saying hello to her siblings on the way there. She stared at her ceiling once more, thinking over the day. Her previous statement of people not liking her seemed to be proven false during the day. Maybe she can trust these people after all.

Another short chapter! Some of these are harder to write since it's still the beginning but they will get longer as the story progresses! I also decided to describe her family the way I imagined it, but you can still imagine your character however you want! Just because the mother is blonde doesn't mean you can't be anything else. For instance, I decided to have the older sister's hair light blue and the brother's pink! Thanks for reading <3
