"Babe, are you almost ready? Our reservations are in 30 minutes," A deep voice shouted from the bottom of the stairs.

"I'm almost ready, Finishing up now."

"Today marks mine and Max's second anniversary. He decided he wanted to plan this year's reservations, so I am completely clueless as to what is coming tonight.

I began to head down the stairs once I had finished getting ready. I saw Max leaning against the railing, staring at his watch waiting for me. I cleared my throat, trying to get Max's attention. He quickly looked up to see me standing at the bottom of the steps. His jaw dropped and his eyes sparkled as he stared at me with so much lust in his eyes.

"Wow Millie, you look, wow," Max tried to talk but was at a loss for words.

"Does it look okay? It's not too much?"

"No, no! You look great," Max finally managed to escape from between his lips. His eyes traced up and down my body a few times before getting more words out of his mouth. "So, um, are you ready?"

I nodded my head after getting a small cheeky smile across my face. I made my way down the last few steps to Max who seemed to be a bit nervous. I gave him a small peck on the cheek to ease his nervousness, before heading towards the front door.

I turned around to see Max standing by the stairs rubbing his neck, the same position I left him in moments ago.

    "You okay, babe?"

"Huh?" He quickly snapped out of his trance. "Yeah, I'm fine. Let's get going." He scurried over to the door, swinging it open before throwing his coat on and following me out the front door.

As I reached for the handle of the passenger door, Max jumped in front of me, refusing to let me open it for myself. I slightly rolled my eyes at him and gave him another peck on the lips before sliding myself into the car.

Running around the front of the car before jumping into his side, Max began starting the car. Still not telling me where we were going, he started to drive. As we pulled out of our housing complex I began to watch out my rearview mirror when I saw a white van pull out behind us.

"Hey Max, does that van behind us look suspicious?"

"I'm not sure babe. I don't recognize it. Maybe it will go another way when we get out of this area," Max comforted me, trying to get me not to worry.

"Yeah... I guess."

I watched as the van continued to follow us clear to our destination. I'm starting to become concerned.

"Max, are you sure that van isn't a threat? It is still following us."

Max glanced at the mirror to check out the van I was talking about. "Hm... I'm not sure. Guess we will find out."

Wow, he gives me so much hope.

We pulled into a spot into the parking lot, putting the car in park as the white van pulled up along side us. Before we knew it three more vans began to surround us. Flooding out of the vans came flashing lights, running from the side of the vans to the car.

"Max what do we do?"

"I don't know! We should have lost them what we could," Max complained, covering his face slightly so they couldn't get a picture of him.

"Well damn! I could have told you that!"

"Its not the time for sarcasm Millie!" Max narrowed his eyes at me, making me shrug my shoulders. "I think we just got to leave. Its going to be the only way we can lose them."

"Do what we got to do."

Max put the car in reverse and whipped the car out of the parking lot and onto the road. I turned my head to look out of the back window, watching as the four vans began to pull out behind us. Max raced down the highway as the paparazzi followed swiftly behind.

"I'm going to do something stupid," Max yelled, getting my attention.

"WHAT! What are you going to do?"

"Hold on tight," Max shouted before swinging the car around a corner and into the alley way.

He quickly stepped on the brakes in the middle of the alley. We spun out heads around to watch the vans go past the alley way out the back window of Max's car.

Max let out a sigh of relief before sinking down into his seat.

"Well, that was... interesting."

"Yeah you can say that again," Max let out a small chuckle before the look of sadness rushed over his face. "I'm sorry we missed our reservations. I didn't know any of this would have happened."

"Its okay Max. I actually had a really good time tonight. Who knew a paparazzi chase would be so fun!"

Max stared at his feet before laughing along with me, "Yeah, I guess so." He took a moment before saying anything else. "How about we head home and have a movie night. Just you and me."

"That sounds nice. But maybe next time I tell you that someone is following us, maybe listen."

Max chuckled, "Noted."
