"Millie, where are you going? You can't just leave like this," Max Yelled as he ran down the stairs after me, trying to stop me.

"No, Max, you have made your point very clear. I shouldn't be here to bug you while you work."

"Millie, I never said you were bugging me! I need to get this song done, I already have my brain-racking. I wasn't trying to push you away," Max explained, grabbing my coat off the rack to keep me there.

"Max, stop! I'm just going to go. You can finish your song in peace. Call me when you're not busy."

I grabbed my bag off the coat rack and my coat from Max's hand, slipping on my shoes right after. Heading out the door to my car, Max stood in the doorway watching me silently, not knowing what to say as I got in my car.

Getting situated in my car, I quickly tried to collect my composer before I started my car. I started to pull out of the driveway, trying not to let my pissed-off self take over. I turned to look in my rearview mirror to see Max sitting on the curb and beginning to sulk, watching me pull away.

I was sitting at a stoplight waiting for the light to turn green as my eyes began to water, knowing that I was wrong but hated to admit it. Looking up to see the light had finally begun to glow green, I slowly started to cross the four-way intersection. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a car start to approach the side of my car very quickly. they were crashing into the side of my car making me black out shortly after.

When I finally came out of it, I was surrounded by a group of first responders. I was laid down on a stretcher in the middle of the four-way as the paramedics were trying to wake me up. I quickly brought my hand up to my nose to feel liquid flowing out of my nose and onto my fingertips. I took a look around at my surroundings and found there were so many people, but no one I knew.

I looked up at the paramedic who was hovering above me, asking her if anyone had found my phone. I quickly ran over to the policeman standing by my car to ask. All I could think of as I was waking up was that I needed to call Max, Not even my mum... Just Max.

The para medic finally returned after retrieving my phone from the car. She handed me my phone before helping the others load me into the ambulance. After getting situated in the vehicle, I sent a text to my mum to get to the hospital. I spent the rest of the ride contemplating if I wanted to bother Max and worry him.

We finally reached the hospital, the paramedics quickly got me unloaded and started to get wheeled inside the hospital before I saw my mum running up to me from the waiting room.

"Honey, are you okay? What happened? I thought you were at Max's?" Mom started questioning me frantically, grabbing my hand as I was wheeled back to a room.

"I'm fine mum... But I need to message Max."

Getting set up in a room, I pulled out my phone while the nurse began talking to my mum and shot a message to Max. Wondering how I should word this not to scare him too much.

Millie: Hey, I just thought I should let you know, I got into a car accident after I left yours. I'm okay, in the hospital getting checked now Xx

I handed the phone over to my mum before they wheeled me into a room to get a few X-rays. They gave me a small look over and got the pictures they needed before taking me into a room where my mum was sitting waiting for me. I laid down on the bed to patiently wait for the nurse to return.

I shut my eyes, taking a few deep breaths to ease my anxiety. With my eyes still shut, I heard a familiar voice coming from the other side of the hall. I quickly opened my eyes and watched as Max ran, frantically and out of breath, into my room.

Max stopped dead in his tracks when he saw me, Tears started welling up in his eyes. He slowly took a few steps toward me, grabbing my hand softly and rubbing the top of it. Staying silent as he didn't know what to say to me at this point. He continued to stare at the bruises that were on my arms and legs, running his hand over one of the bigger bruises that was on my leg. Tears had begun to run down his face.

"I-Im so sorry. I shouldn't have started that argument. It was over something so stupid... I feel like such a shitty boyfriend," Max cried, sitting down in the chair next to me.

"Max, this isn't your fault. None of this is your fault."

"But it is Mills. I should have never tried to put my music before you, it doesn't mean nearly as much to me as you do. I will never do that again," Max apologized, looking down at the floor with his head in his hands.

Before I could say any more back to him, the doctor had come into the room and began talking, "Ma'am, We viewed your x-rays. We see nothing wrong and you are free to go. But if you feel like something is wrong later, you are welcome to come back and we will have a look."

Oh, thank goodness.

I nodded my head towards the doctor before getting out of bed and headed to the bathroom to change out of the outfit the hospital gave me, grabbing my clothes off the chair before walking out of the room. I quickly changed and headed back out of the bathroom. As I looked up, after fumbling the used clothes in my arms, I spotted Max sitting in one of the chairs across from the bathroom. He had already gathered all of my stuff up from the room and was waiting for me.

"Are you ready to go?" Max asked, holding out a hand for me to hold.

"Yeah, I'm ready."
