"MOM! xavier isn't letting me put my decorations on the tree!" sonia exclaims running into the kitchen. Makenna peeps her head into the living room. "Xavier! you know everyone's decorations are allowed on the tree."
xavier shook his head. "not if they're ugly! i want our tree to be decent looking!" he reasoned.
makenna gives him the look. His face drops quickly and he groans. "fine put your weirdly shaped star on the tree."
"hey! our stars look alike so by saying that, your saying my star is ugly too!" elena exclaims as sonia walks back into the living room with a smug smile.
makenna went back to putting cookies into the container before feeling arms wrap around her waist and small kisses on her neck.
she relaxed her shoulders leaning her head on her husbands. "were they being rough today?" matt mumbled.
"nope. I scared them into thinking santa was watching us." she said relieved. "oh wow, you might be worse than the grinch." matt joked.
"hey your triplet gene hit us first" she chuckled turning around facing him.
"and you should be happy it didn't hit us again." he said smiling down at her baby bump.
She wrapped her arms around his neck, leaning into his lips smiling as they kissed. they soon heard footsteps run into the kitchen.
"eww" "presents?!?" "cookies!!" they heard at the same time. They pulled apart seeing elena go straight for the cookies makenna just put into the container.
Xavier straight for the bag Matt brought in and sonia covering her eyes. Makenna quickly grabbed the container lifting it as elena's face turned into one of betrayal.
"you will have to wait until we get to uncle chris's house and share them with your cousins, and lila, kaden, and junior." she said. Elena groaned "but kaden always eats them just to make me mad!"
"well then you and kaden will just have to learn how to get along." she said putting them into a bag.
Xavier scourged the bag digging for any present and was upset when he didn't find one.
"come on buddy, you don't think i know better than to leave an open bag around you during christmas." matt said chuckling as xavier had a face of despair.
"ok! i need you three with your jackets on, hats on, and if your bringing an ipad don't forget it cause we are not turning back." makenna said sternly as the three nodded and left.
"you know, you look so good when your acting like a mom." matt said smirking as he started to walk towards her.
she rolled her eyes with a smile. "i think i do know, hence the three kids upstairs and the baby on the way." she said putting her jacket on.
"technically the three kids was a onetime surprise." he reasoned.
"sure sir make sure to put the presents in the trunk." she said plopping a kiss on his cheek.
