Chapter 4

Okay so tonight is the welcome party. I'm not excited, i have to admit, but since Harry's gonna be there (probably), i might change my mind. I have taken off from work today which i would have to compensate and work tomorrow, which is a Saturday.

I'm applying some makeup when my phone rings. Its Adam. 'Hey Stace.' He chirps. 'Ready for the party?'
'Um hey Adam, and yeah. I look forward to seeing you soon.' I reply with a sigh. I hope Adam doesn't go all mushy on me. 'Yeah. I've got great news to tell you. Meet me as soon as you reach.' He hangs up.
I sigh. I have no clue what 'great' news he's so excited about.

I'm done applying some party makeup, with red lipstick as i put on my dress. The dark blue colour is so amazing, i can't stop drooling over. I curl my blonde hair and let them loose gracefully on my shoulder. I look good, i just hope Harry would notice me. I'm snatched out of my thoughts as soon as a car honks in my driveway. I grab my wallet and phone and leave a note for mom so she knows I'm at a party and i inform Ben too, just in case, whose busy in this video game.

Jane is driving the car as i hop in the passenger seat. 'Hey. Where's Anna?' Jane remains silent. I shake her 'Heyyyy. I guess im talking to you, dumbass'. Jane looks at me and smirks. I try asking her but she remains silent. Gosh, i have no idea whats going on.

By the time we reach the campus, the party is already in full swing. I can already see couples endlessly sucking each others mouths outside the campus, in the ground. It's a school party, people need to understand that. We make our way past the huge bodies towering us. The party animals dance wildly to the music blasting from the speakers.

As i reach the bar counter, i sit down on one of the stools and order myself a glass of fresh lemonade. Sipping my drink ocassionally, i observe the part goers. They're dancing like there's no tomorrow and drinking as if hangovers are no big deal. In the distance i see two figures approaching me. I recognize Adam whose with a girl, her hands looped with Adam's arm. I notice the black and white cocktail dress, it was the one that Anna brought for herself at the mall yesterday.

Wait, what? Why is Anna with Adam? I stare in amusement as they are finally near me. 'Hey guys.' I say. 'Hello' they both reply in unision with a naughty smirk.
'No wayyy! Omg omg!' I scream. 'You guys..' They nod and Anna looks at Adam with awe and Adam gives a peck on her forehead. So this is what Adam wanted to tell me. I have to admit, they look amazing together. Im happy that Adam is over me and that Anna has finally hooked up with the guy she has been adoring since Adam has lived.

I spot Jane in the crowd, bringing two red cups. 'So you guys told her?' She literally yells to be heard in this loud atmosphere. 'Asshole. Why didn't you tell me?' I slap her shoulder slightly. 'Ow. Cut it out, they wanted to surprise you' Jane says as she looks at the adorable couple. 'Congratulations! I'm so happy for both of you idiots!' I say excitedly after pulling all of them in a big bear hug.

The song stops playing and the party is all blacked out. Everyone stands still until a slow song comes up with only very little spotlights gleaming in the dark. Ed Sheeran's Kiss Me plays. Everyone 'awws' as all couples take their positions on the dance floor. Adam and Anna go as well. Looking at them i really miss those times with Sebastian. Yeah that dick. But i know i'll find someone way better than him, Harry probably? I smile, i know thats never gonna happen. Jane, being the beautiful girl she is, is spotted dancing wih some random cute guy on the dance floor while i sit on the same bar stool.

'Hey. I didnt take you as a party girl?' Says Harry, breaking my thoughts. 'Um hello. Yeah i was forced to come, its so boring. Coming here without a partner is not a very good decision'. I blurt out. Harry giggles. Did i say something wrong? I hope not. I stare at him. He looks so hot.
