Epilogue

'I think we should get this one, what do you say?' I ask Harry pointing to the 'Frozen' customized cake displayed on the bakery screen.
'Don't you think its too blue?' He replies back. 'We could ask Caitlyn for her cake?'
'Sure' i smile and in no time Caitlyn points to one cake that she finds attractive on the screen. 'This one it is then.' Harry beams paying the bakery's cashier the required amount.

'I'm glad all the preparations are done for tomorrow. Did you give all invitations?' Harry asks me.
'I did. And the ones i couldn't reach, i asked Anna to do them for me.'
'Great. Did you invite Karen and her family?'
'I called her yesterday and she said she'll be there.' I reply as i sit on the passenger seat with Caitlyn, my beautiful daughter on my lap.

We are celebrating Caitlyn's first birthday tomorrow, its a Frozen themed party since Elsa is her favourite. We're organising the party at our garden, Harry's house is the same big mansion with a beautiful green garden. Its almost 4pm in the evening and in exact twenty four hours from now, the guests will start rolling in.

Well, with this, let me tell you about the past, what happened in the last eight years.

As soon as Harry and I graduated from High School, he went to 'Deakin University' in Australia where he was doing his bachelors in marketing. I, on the other hand got admitted to one of the local universities here in Miami and i started doing my bachelors in Journalism. We both had now been in a long distant relationship, we used to talk once every three days, or even a week. He was busy with his life and so was i with my education, work and making money. The only thing that was constant in our relationship was the massive trust and love we both had for eachother. Even though we were miles apart, our hearts were connected with a thick unbreakable thread.

Karen, on the other hand, got married to my aunt's son from Canada. They are wonderful people. Four years back my aunt and her son Luke came here for vacations and they stayed at our house. At that time Karen and I both were nineteen and he was twenty three. They both started getting along with eachother really well and soon got married. Luke happily accepted the twins and Karen as well. The twins were born two months later their marriage. At least someone constant was there with Karen in her tough times. Her twin boys are now eight years old and they all live in Canada. Luke, Karen, Troy and Brent have come to visit Miami right now and they are all invited to Caitlyn's birthday tomorrow.

Kyle and Jane are married and they live just downtown. They have a beautiful son named Hank. Anna and Adam broke up like four years back. It was a mutual breakup as they thought it was better that they don't stay in a relationship but they have promised to remain good friends. I know they were a perfect couple but maybe fate had planned something else for them. Anna is invited tomorrow, of course, but Adam cant make it since he is out of country due to some work business. Justin has a fiancé named Stella and he is a fine businessman working in his fathers company as his successor. Both Justin and Stella are coming tomorrow.

Its been very long since our squad last met. I mean, so what if we're married and parents and busy in our practical lives? We're still those same old teenagers we used to be eight years ago.

Ben is now twenty maybe and he is doing his bachelors in Law from Nottingham University London. Mum now teaches online courses to students and earns a handsome amount every month. I'm so glad that our dark days have ended. I worked, mum worked, Ben worked. We all shifted into a new bigger house and upgraded our car. Now we don't have to worry about little expenses, soon i got married and Ben left for London, so mum's income is more than enough to feed her and pay some of Ben's semester fees.

As predicted, Sebastian died exactly two and a half years after we met at the hospital. I used to visit him every six months and his situation seemed dilapidated everytime. I knew he was deteriorated and he would leave us.
