I come back home at around 7:30pm, first school and then work. This Monday has been shit tiring, but overall i seemed fresh and lively because things were finally going the way i wanted them to go. My relationship is going amazing, mum's back home, I'm finally coping well with studies and there's no Sebastian shit for three days at least. After that i went for work, Madam Gus wasn't at the store today so her daughter came up to cover her absence. She's exactly like her mother, sweet and mature. Harry and Betty were there too which made work a little more fun than it usually is.
I come home to see mum watching television.
'Hello.' I say and run over to her to give her a big hug.
'Hey honey. How was your day?' She asks hugging me back.
'It was good, tiring as well.' I say, exhaustion evident in my voice. I've literally missed this usual routine conversation with my mum for months. I had missed coming back home and having dinner ready served on the table. I had missed coming home to hug mum that would wash away all boredom of my life and make me lively. In short, i had missed her.'What's for dinner?' I ask her.
'Pasta.'
'Yum.' I say, my stomach growling as if it heard what's there to feed.
In the morning i told mum to rest since she had been in the hospital and she shouldn't be doing all the chores and taking too much stress, but she insisted that she was fine and won't go to work but do households because that's what she enjoys the most. I zipped up because i knew i wasn't going anywhere with this argument. At the breakfast table in the morning, mum noticed a new face and i introduced mum to Karen and vice versa. She agreed that Karen could stay here because my mum understood her case and was inviting. After school Karen headed home and i think had lunch with mum only. Right now at the dinner table mum calls Karen and Ben and we all sit down to have dinner.
'Wow. I've missed your cooking so much.' I say in between my chewing duration.
'Karen helped me a lot though. Thank you.' She smiles.
'It's amazing.' I say, gesturing to Karen. She smiles in response. It's good that they both are going along, besides mum could give her good practical tips on her pregnancy as well. After dinner,i help clean up the kitchen and wash the dishes after which i go upstairs to sleep. This day is going to be on repeat tomorrow, same old hectic routine that i have no shortcuts to. I change and lie down in my bed. I switch on my phone and Harry calls.
'Hey babe.' He says in the most seductive voice ever.
'Hey.' I say.
'What's up?'
'Nothing much, just had dinner.'
'I miss you so much.' He says and i blush a little too much. 'I was wondering if i could swing by tomorrow night to have dinner with you and your family?' He asks.
Other times when mum wasn't here, he used to come over all the time without asking, and i also was willing to have him every night, not hesitant like i am this time. But now since mum is here, i need to be a little careful with my relationship. I'm glad that he asked me, at least he respects my mum and I.
'Um sure, I'd like to ask my mum once, i hope you don't mind.' I say.
'Oh not at all babe, take your time.' He says. And from here we talk about the most random things that you'd ever know. We laugh, we giggle together. He compliments and i blush. You know what? This is the part that i love the most a about my relationship. We don't have expectations, and we don't pressure eachother. I cherish late night conversations instead of the make out sessions. I appreciate texting instead of meeting everyday because this way you'll know your partner more. Give them space and enjoy yours.Everyone you meet has a part to play in your story. And while some may take a chapter and others a paragraph, and most will be no more than scribbled notes in the margins, someday, you will meet someone who will become so integral to your life, that you'll put their name in the title. And i think I have that one person.

'Mum?' I shout from inside my room. 'Could you come here and check if i have packed all the right stuff please?' I say rummaging through my suitcase. I think I have put in everything. Toiletries, makeup, appropriate dresses, passport, and a lot of other necessary stuff too. Mum comes in and checks through everything.
'I think this dress is unnecessary, considering its too formal and you're staying there for only three days.' She says, 'And this one too.' She discards a pair of lingerie that was just occupying space. 'Otherwise you're good to go!' She announces.
