"so? i heard you captured an airbender, that's so unlike you" jungsu teased with a grin, sharpening the edges of his boomerang.

his best friend, seungmin, just sighed. "i did it to save him" the younger explained, making the elder scoff.

"i don't know how capturing someone is saving them but, you do you, i guess" seungmin rolled his eyes, using his earthbending skills to build walls around them. what he was about to say seemed private.

jungsu didn't seem to care, not even looking up as he continued sharpening the blades. after all, he wasn't a bender, having to rely on his combat skills.

seungmkn started explaining what happened. "he had used up all his energy before. any other fighter would have killed him, if they spotted him. so i took him in.

we'll leave when we get the opportunity. that will be my time to get even more powerful to defeat my father once and for all!"

jungsu finally looked up, a smile on his lips. "yeah? you do know that the outcome of the war is in your hands? the longer you take, the more destruction your father will cause."

seungmin nodded, removing the walls around them again as he started pacing in the room. "i probably wont be able to do it on my own.." the prince muttered, more to himself, just before his gaze suddenly flew to jungsu.

"you can help me!" he suddenly said out loud, startling jungsu a tad bit. the elder looked at him with furrowed brows. "you know that if i get caught, i'll be publicly executed?"

the prince sat down next to jungsu again, an encouraging smile on his lips. "come on, su. i'll make sure that they'll never catch us. we could also use gunil's help. i believe he'd love to help me."

jungsu tilted his head, confused. "gunil...? ah." he realised that it must be the airbender.

"he wants to find his brother first" seungmin continued explaining. "after we find him, i'll take my time to be the best in each bending technique, so i can fight against my father! are you in?"

jungsu chewed on the straw in his mouth, angling his boomerang to look at seungmin out of their reflection. "i guess, i always wanted to know what was outside of the walls."

the earth kingdom, surrounded by thick gigantic stone walls, to be entirely save. no one from the kingdom was allowed to leave, just to ensure the safety of their benders.

"great! we'll go whenever there's a good timing. thank you, jungsu!" the prince kissed the boy on his cheek before dashing away, probably remembering some of the duties he has to fulfil.

jungsu's cheeks reddened, as he sighed, starting to walk home. no one was waiting there for him anyway. his parents abandoned him when they were told that their son wasn't a bender like they were.

he lived in an orphanage till last year, where jungsu was allowed to move out at the age of sixteen.

jungsu had nothing to live for anyway, so he decided to join seungmin. who would care if he died?

also who said that they will die? surely, when seungmin wanted to defeat his father, he'd need a bigger group. an airbender, an earthbender and a non-bender wouldn't be enough to defeat the earth king.

but how could they get new recruits? anyone in the earth kingdom would be too scared of being executed by the king. they had to go much farther.

yet they probably had to search for gunil's brother first. but where could he be? they said everyone died in the attack.

could he still be alive?
