"we present you: the last airbender!"

earth commoners were surrounding the guillotine, which stood empty so far. a tense mood filled the air, some of them were hyped, some of them were concerned. and some of them weren't even supposed to be there.

seungmin and jungsu mixed among the crowd, bodies itching to help. and there he was. jiseok looked rough, his body battered and dirty. he was too weak to even walk, so the soldiers had to lift him to the place, where they forced the rope around his neck.

"we have to help.." seungmin mumbled, taking a step forward. yet he was stopped by jungsu, who reached out to grab his hand. "don't blow your cover."

seeing his father with his vicious smile, seungmin felt all the pent-up rage coming up again. but he listened to jungsu, staying still as he didn't dare to look away from the teen. they asked him for his last words.

"don't turn away now." the hatch underneath his feet opened, leaving his small body hanging in the air. gasps went through the crowd, everyone's eyes on jiseok, who was still alive, trying to gasp for air, his feet searching for halt.

seungmin looked away, not capable of seeing his friend die. there he noticed jungsu looking up to the sky. "it's raining.." he mumbled, confused. the earth kingdom was a dry place, it never rained, except...

"we have to get out of here.." seungmin mumbled, just ready to leave as an alarm sounded through the whole kingdom. the rain got heavier and the wind picked up, whistling dangerous tunes.

screams errupted as soon as a thick whip of blue fire cut the rope that was holding jiseok's now limp body. it was hyeongjun's doing. the attack started.

a bunch of soldiers stepped forward, ready to find any intruder, yet they were quickly washed away by a light flood.

many commoners tried fleeing, panic lying in the air. yet there was someone who tried to squeeze through the amount of people. and he just tried to get to his brother.

"jiseok!" gunil shouted once he managed to reach the spot he was lying on, not moving a single muscle. "no.. no no no no, jiseok!"

they were too late. tears filled gunil's eyes as he kneeled down next to the younger, trying to feel his pulse or his breathing. nothing. he shook his head, not wanting to accept that.

his cold hands wandered to the place the rope was wrapped around. jiseok's neck did not snap, so he died of suffocation. gunil then got a strange idea. "i hope this works..."

he then started pumping fresh air inside the other's body, making sure that most of it got to his brain. whispering prayers to the life spirit, gunil continued his doing.

king oh took all the chaos as a chance to flee, but he got cut off by.. seungmin?

"dad-" seungmin gasped, his voice breathy. the king was surprised to see his son alive, but he quickly noticed that he was moving strangely. it didn't take long to find out why.

jooyeon stepped out, his hand reaching out towards seungmin. chills ran down the king's spine - he was bloodbending seungmin.

stepping closer, the waterbender pressed a dagger to seungmin's throat, smiling at the king. "an eye for an eye" he hissed, taking a step back once he saw the king come closer.

"go on - it's not like i cared for him" jooyeon scoffed and laughed, the sound of it eerie. "oh, but the earth kingdom will die out without him. count your seconds, king oh."

just before jooyeon was able to slice the prince's throat, he felt something hit him in the back of his head. the waterbender lost his grip on seungmin, so the earth prince quickly turned around to check what happened - jungsu hit him with his boomerang.

"you're forgetting who the real villain is!" jungsu shouted at jooyeon, kneeling down to check whether the teen was okay or not. looking up, he had to notice that the king was gone - and so was seungmin.

"god damnit!"
