Sohan Azure
The footsteps coinciding with each other were the only sounds breaking the silence weighing heavy in the air around us. Another engraved wooden door opens to a hall holding art pieces ranging from knock off Da vinci and original modern day paintings. Her parents were useless when it came to having a taste in any subject.
Her mother would hold shrines for her new clothing if she could and her father? Well apart from the heavy obsession over his income, he isn't one to care much about his own appearance unless it hurts his smarmy reputation. A long sigh broke my trail of thought as i snapped my eyes towards Aurora's direction.
The evening gown that hugged her curves looked almost too scandalous for a simple greeting, her prominent collar bones holding a simple white opal necklace with matching earrings complimented her piercing cold blue/grey eyes. She definitely looks more put together than that disgusting cream blouse she wore in that unforgettable meeting.
"I will write up a contract that will hold conditions to benefit both of us during this arrangement-"
Her low chuckle almost openly expressing her disbelief cut me off. My jaw clenches in silent reply whilst she turns her gaze up to me with disgust plastered across her face.
"Contract. Arrangement. Benefits...you're all business. I should've never expected any different from you."
I stood unchanged as i watched her storm to the side door exit and swinging it open without hesitation. I roll my eyes and stand there staring at her, long waves of hair flew in the soft breeze as she kept her gaze locked on the floor.
"What will your parents think of you kicking me out?"
"It's been a pleasure Mister Azure, lets re cap when i book our next meeting."
I step toward her slowly, my footsteps echoing around this eerily quiet room. Her head shifts away from my direction as i stop in front of her. A sweet scent of cherries invade my senses, my hand falters before reaching to the tips of her long gloss like hair. I pull it ever so slightly away from her face, I expected her to cower but no. To my surprise she faced me directly and curled her lips into a disgusting grin.
"Have a nice day sir."
Feisty. Okay Misses Blackwood. A smile grew on my face as i dropped my hand back down to my pocket, i return a soft grin and head toward the front of the humble estate.

"Wow- you're on fire today."
Allister exclaimed whilst reloading his L85 rifle. I had decided it was a good idea to unleash some pent up irritation from my aggravating wife to be. Long story short, a range was the safest option. Unfortunately for me, Allister proudly invited himself along.
Aim, Inhale, Exhale slowly...Fire.
"Damn, what's gotten you riled up?"
He questioned whilst packing away the ammunition he refused to 'waste'. Makes sense as he couldn't hit a single target directly.
"I'm engaged to John Blackwoods daught- Its marriage nerves, getting cold feet."
I correct myself before I end up revealing that I had foolishly let my family arrange such a disgusting match up. I could've taken care of the threats easily, swiftly. That was never an option though, my workaholic grandfather made the decision and I cannot let these companies I've slaved away building, improving- go to waste in my brothers hands.
