Chapter 33 (Ren's POV)

I knew this was probably going to happen,

Eiji, shouldn't be like us.

He should stay that light, but, , no buts , I said I would let him go , when he let go.

I see Dr. Hiro stand before me.

He takes a deep breath, then slaps me.

As I feel the pain, my eyes go wide.

"Eiji, was never yours, just because he was in pain, you took advantage, and because he was in pain and wanted to be stronger, he used you.  You two are nothing but stupid friends who took advantage of each other.  Eiji was something new, both broken and different, so you were distracted. That's all this was.  So at least try to be his friend still even now."

As Dr. Hiro finishes saying this, I feel frustrated with the truth of the matter, but also understand his words clearly. 

I close my eyes, take a deep breath and then walk into the room.

Eiji's eyes go wide as I walk into the room.

"Ren... I'm..."

Eiji starts but I cut him off, 

"So, you're leaving? When?"

I say plainly, I may understand, that doesn't lessen the pain.

"Yes, Ren, I'm sorry, but I have to go. "

Eiji says looking ready to cry and I could feel Asami watching us closely.

"When are you leaving, Eiji"?

I ask softly.

Eiji then looks down and tears start falling.

But he then takes a breath, also wipes his tears, then looks back at me.

"Either late today or tomorrow.  Ren, but first, I want to talk to you alone."

Eiji says to me looking at me seriously. 

Asami gets up and pats me on my shoulder, then leaves.

Eiji forces himself onto his feet and slowly walks over to me, then gets down on his knees.

"I'm sorry, Ren, I... I..."

I stop Eiji's Apology and pull him back on feet.  

Lets make him mad at me,

I force my lips on his,

Eiji tries to push me away.

"Ren, stop..." "Mm."

I push my lips back onto his ,

until he bites my lip and slaps me.

I see tears streaming down his cheeks.

"Ah, this is all we were."

I say, then walk out into the hall and slam the door.

Asami, Zero, Dr. Hiro and Kanzaki were all out there.  But my tears still wouldn't stop after I go away from Eiji.

"You guys, please take care of him."

I say, then walk away from them. 

But Zero follows me. Just like he always has.
