Chapter 23 (Ash's POV)

Has it been a year yet, I can't really tell.

After getting Eiji's letter and reading it and seeing the plane ticket, I jumped up and I was going to him , to Eiji. But Lao got me and I was still healing from the wounds from that Fox Bastard .
But I thought that was it as I finished Eiji's letter sitting in that calming library, remembering all about my time with Eiji as I read "my soul is always with you" tears fell as I see the sun begin to set.  My name finally made some sense to me . I then thought 'oh this is it' .  I should be at peace, Eiji will be safe, if i'm not around, but Eiji's letter, the end made it clear.  Eiji, had given everything to me.  His soul.  That bright, dazzling, encouraging soul that warmed me up,  leaving the cold behind me.

I suppose that's what saved me, why six months after, I awoke from a long dream and nightmare. I quickly recuperated.  It was shocking.  Who would have thought that Yut-Lung girly boy would set me up with doctors just because Sing told him to.

I suppose we both found that person to support us.

But after recuperating, I still don't know if I should find Eiji or just let him live a peaceful life in Japan.

Although, I even told Max not to tell Eibe.  Max made a strange face and looked like he was hiding something the last time we talked.
Him and Jessica and little Michael have moved to New York into that fancy apartment I signed over to his and Jessica's Names as a Wedding gift. 

I finally see Sing walk into our apartment, we live in, He wants to learn how to be a better boss and wants to have a tutor for his schooling, but honestly, he may not be as smart as I am, but he is extremely bright.

But right now he has a simular face to what Max had.  My curiosity is peaked now.

"What's going on Sing?"

My question makes him jump a little.

"I can't tell you, at least not yet..."

Sing says then walks to his room and slightly slams the door.

I really miss you Eiji....

With Max and Sing making the same face,
I'm worried something has happened to you.

What should I do?

What are they hiding?

Should I go to you?

My mind is constantly at war with itself .

But, 
I look towards Sings door.

Sing really needs me right now, doesn't he.

Both his Brother Lao and Shorter are gone now, plus I don't like leaving him alone with just that Yut-Lung Brat.

So, Eiji, lets take our time. For now.
