Nepeta

It was almost completely dark now, the zombies below the tree seemed more active now that the sun had dipped below the horizon. Eridan sat with his knees brought up to his chest as he struggled on words to say. The prince stuttered a bit before falling silent with guilt spread across his face.

"You don't need to say anything Ampurra, people die." I say pulling my own knees up to my chest.

He sighs and unfolds his knees and crawls in front of me, "He was your moirail, Nep, I can't imagine losing someone in my quadrants...to death I mean."

I lean my head back against the wood of the wall, tears stung my eyes, "He should have listened to me and followed me instead of being such a stupid hero!"

Eridan looked like he wanted to comfort me, but he was unsure how. I'm glad he didn't try because honestly comforting was the last thing I needed. Being babied about death wasn't the way I was brought up and I would fall to peaces if anyone tried to do that right now.

Growling from below made me blink the tears from my eyes and I looked down. Some of the zombies were clawing at the tree as if they were trying to climb it. I heard the smashing of windows and distant screams. It was like the night was making them more active.

Looking in the far distance flames could be seen starting.

This was going to be a hell of a night.

Vriska

Night was falling and flames could be seen in some of the cities buildings. Suckers.

I turned my back and walked towards the bow of the ship. Meenah stood there looking at me with her arms crossed, "What da glubbin fuck is happinin there Serket?"

"The cities 8urning what does it look like."

"Sucks to be them."

I shake my head and go below deck. Several other people are down there. Mostly trolls I didn't recognize, but there were some like Latula and the human chick, Jane that I did know.

I walk towards the back of the ship when I feel a set of arms encircle my waist. I slam my elbow back and fling out my sword pointing it at the poor owner of those arms.

Cronus smirks and mockingly raises his arms in defence, "Awe come on kitten, I was only jokin around."

I raise my sword to his throat and he gulps, "Touch me again fish8oy and it will 8e the last thing you will ever do."

He nodded and I lowered the sword, "Fine, if your going to be like that then you can find some other bloke to repopulate the planet with."

I just roll my eyes and walk away not wanting to give him the satisfaction of me saying another word to him. He didn't follow me, nor did anyone else. Not that I wanted them to anyway though.

At the back of the ship it was so dark I could barely see a thing, my eyes had long since adjusted to the light of the human world and grown weaker when seeing in the dark.

I could see light under the door from a lantern and I could hear the groaning of the person inside. I took a deep breath and grasped onto the door knob opening it.

A single chair sat in the centre of the room, a single troll sat tied to it. I walked into the room and shut the door.

Terezi's head rolled to the side and she looked up at me with those dead red eyes. Saliva and blood leaked from her mouth. She groaned incoherently and tried to move her body to try and eat me I suppose.

I leaned against the wall of the ship and stared at my infected kismesis, "I'm not going to let you die Pyrope, I'll find a cure for you soon enough."

There was a knock on the door, it opened a crack and Meenah stuck her head in, "she any better?"

I shook my head and Meenah entered the room and shut the door, "Alright Serket," she says cracking her knuckles, "Let's give this beach some life."
