After five minutes or so, Ishaan came around searching for me.

"kanika..."

I quickly wiped off my tears and turned towards him.

"Hey, why are you crying?", he asked coming nearer.

" it's nothing. I was just..."

"Your red eyes shows that it wasn't nothing. Atleast tell me, I'm there for you.", he said softly.

I told him everything that happened, and Everything we talked about.

After listening patiently, He sighed, "Kanika, She just needs some time. Two-Three days later she'll probably regret every word she said and come back running to you. Calm down, It's alright okay? Don't cry over this again." He said and handed me his water bottle.

I slightly nodded and gulped down half of the water in it.

"lets go for a walk in the Garden.", he said offering me his hand. I took a hold on it and we went to the college's private garden.

It was almost leaving time so not much students were present there. And I liked it. Gardens always gave me a peace of mind.

When i was younger, i remember going to the community parks of Varanasi whenever I was frustrated or sad. It worked like a therapy to me. I would walk on the wet grass with bare feet or just sit on a bench for hours.

Most of the people preferred to go on ganga ghats for the same purpose. But they seemed chaotic to me. People taking baths in the river, tourists clicking pictures, women washing clothes, children blissfully running around, the evening aartis and all would never end.

"want me to hold them for you?", Ishaan asked as he saw me taking off my sandals.

"no, it's fine", i said and we started strolling around the park.

I don't know if it was the magic of the wet grass touching my feet or the warmth my other hand was getting from ishaan holding it, but I really felt relieved after the long chaos that happened a moment ago.

"ishaan..", i said, trying to start a conversation

"hmm?"

"I still don't understand what you meant by that fifty-fifty"

he laughed a little before saying, "In any relationship, there is a hundred percent agreement in total, joining fifty percent agreement from both the sides. I just meant that my fifty percent was a yes, but i didn't knew about your fifty percent so, I said that fifty-fifty chances."

"you know you should've taken commerce instead of science. you're good at probability than anatomy."

"possible, but how could I've met you then?"

"you're really something else.", i said looking away.

"someone's blushing i guess", he said trying to look at my averted face.

"shut up. I'm not."

"okay," he gave up, and we continued walking around. Silence prevailed in the air for some time.

"what are you thinking about?", he asked out of the blue.

"I can't believe I started liking you in just three months. The first time I met you, I wanted to punch you across your face."

" yeah, I know I'm unbelievable." he said proudly.

"that was a very lame joke, ishaan."

"Really? I have a lamer one, you wanna listen?", he chuckled

"no need, that's enough for today"

My phone beeped indicating someone's message. I opened it, half-expecting that it would be ritika. But it wasn't.

Expectations only lead to disappointments I guess.

It was mumma, 'Be home soon. We're going to saloni's wedding at 6:30'

I checked the time and it was 5:57 already. my house was ten minutes from here and i needed another 15-20 minutes to get ready; i needed to go.

"I need to go, have to attend a wedding at 6:30.", i told ishaan.

"okay, see you tomorrow then."

"alright, bye."

"bye...", he waved at me one last time.

I waved back, wore my sandals and took an auto to home.
