The front door of the monastery opened and closed softly as the two friends returned home, warm air swallowing them as they stepped inside.

Home sweet home.

Nya headed to her room to change while Jay sat on the couch in the living room. There, the redhead pondered about his next move.

What is he gonna do about this situation with Cole?

He figured, if he could come to terms with the fact that Nya has a new boyfriend, then maybe he could come to terms with his own emotions.

Before he could go any deeper into thought, he noticed Lloyd walk past him and head to the front door.

"Hey, where ya off to?" Jay called out

"...My boyfriend's house." Lloyd responded boldly before walking out the door.

Jay half flinched as he heard the door slam shut, but Lloyd's sensitivity when it came to Morro only made him question himself more. Say he and Cole did get...close. Would he be able to fight for what they had in the same way Lloyd fights for what he and Morro have? Could he be that passionate? That fierce? He didn't think so, and that uncertainty tethered him to loneliness.

But enough about him. He just hoped Kai didn't hear that.

Speak of the devil. Jay watched Kai walk out of Sensei Wu's room (Lord knows what he was doing in there.) and flop down onto the couch beside him.

"Hey, pass me the remote." The brunette commanded

"Whatcha watching?" Jay asked as he passed the TV remote over

"Eh, you'll see." Kai shrugged, flicking through the channels

Jay caught himself staring again. Evaluating again. Understanding, again. Kai was so confident and carefree with himself. In all the time that he's known him, Jay couldn't remember a single time where Kai wasn't so irrevocably...Kai. Except for when they lost Zane.

"Hey," Kai called out, "how do you feel about Fast and Furious? And if you say "yes", we're watching all 12. You can never watch just one."

"How did you know you loved Zane?"

"Oh..." Kai straightened himself up a bit

"Well," He started, "there's no exact moment for when I started loving him. I mean, I thought of him as a little brother when we first met. But, I think I really started crushing on him after all that business with the Overlord, ya know? It made me realize I needed him...in more than a friendly way."

"Huh, alright..." Jay mumbled as he scratched his chin. Yeesh, he needed a good shave one of these days.

"Any reason you're asking?" Kai quizzed, sitting up properly to face Jay

"Yeah, I guess. I mean...he's a guy." Jay shrugged

"...No way. Really?" The brunette gasped

The ginger rolled his eyes. "I'm serious. When did you learn you liked boys...?"

The air between the two boys was thick and silent for a minute before the sound of Kai snickering floated through the home

"Uh-... What's funny?"

"Jay...who's the guy that's got you all curious and confused?"

Jay faltered in embarrassment. He knew that Kai would probably get curious if they were going to have this conversation, but damn, he was hoping he would at least beat around the bush a little.

"Um...I would prefer to keep that private..." Jay spoke, scooting away from Kai a bit

"Notice how I don't care? Spill." Kai commanded as he scooted closer to Jay
