King
I watched her as she rode away on the bike with my damn brother. The fucker was still revving as he rode past here to slap me. The plant that was hanging on the veranda in the flower pot seemed to be in the way when I looked behind them and I hit my head. Anger came up in me and I hit the flower pot with all my strength, and it flew away and landed directly on the street in front of my father.
"What the hell, King?" he asked me and looked at me angrily.
The men around me looked at me as if I had never lost my control, and this seemed strange to them. The Prospects walked into the bar like children who had been scolded by their mother.
"Let's walk for a bit," Dad said to me, and I shook my head, which meant no.
"Walk!" Dad said in a serious voice, and I walked in the direction he pointed as he stood in front of me. And so I walked next to my father for a while, and he just stayed silent with his cigar in his mouth. When I calmed down, he asked me, "Do you want to tell me what that was about?"“Nothing,” I said simply and kicked a stone that lay on the road.
“I don’t want you to lose your temper. No matter what is bothering you, it can be solved. You must never forget who you are and who you represent. So…” Dad started to say, but I interrupted him.
“She comes here, breaks down my damn gate and hits me. Then she'll be nice and friendly and I'll try hard and she'll fall over... and then I'll sit there staring at her for two days... she'll think I'm crazy. .. and then Bane comes and says keep your hands off her, she's not a whore... I do. And that's not good because then Candy comes running to insult her. And she pulls out a knife just to drive away with Duke. Fucking shit!” I screamed into the cornfield we landed in front of.Dad just looked at me and blinked a few too many times as I took it all in in one breath.
"This is because of Ivy?" he asked, confused.
"Yes, damn it, it's because of Ivy!" I said, running my hand through my hair.
Father started laughing, which got louder and louder until he finally looked at my confused face and pulled himself together.
"Listen boy...let's go to your mother's. I think we need to talk about adult things," he said, laughing. When we arrived, Mom was preparing dinner and listened as Dad made me tell her my side of the story. She just made strange noises while listening to me, from gasping to laughing to grumbling to hitting her palm against her forehead.
“I raised idiots,” she said to her father, who looked at her with a laugh.
"Aidan, if you like the girl, just tell her," Mother said as if it were that easy.
"I promised Bane," I replied.
"As far as I know, you promised to take care of her." Mother said, and I looked at her. “The way you talk about her, I can tell you’re in love, Aidan! Bane just warned you not to hurt her. Treat her like a bastard and then just move on. He never told you to stay away from her if you were serious," she added.
"Remember how I treated Wrath when he became too interested in Alice," Father said.
“The poor boy had to listen to everything from your father,” said Mother.
“But that’s how fathers are with their daughters. Bane is not her father, but he loves her like his child. And he’s responsible for her here,” Dad explained."If you like her then just tell her," said Mother.
"I don't want you to be old and alone when you grow up and regret never saying anything," Dad said tensely.
I gave him a look, and he just looked at me seriously.
"Do you think Bane is only here because of Ivy...Ivy is also a reason, but the main reason for his trip is Jane. Don't you see he's hard to get out of the bar...And men talk a lot when they're drunk. Bane has been in love with Jane for 20 years, he never told her. The woman got married and even had children, but he is still alone. I don't want you to end up like this," he added.
"The heart wants what it wants, child. I just don't want you to blame yourself later for not saying anything. So put on your big boy pants and tell her," I heard mom say.
"You're 33 years old, Aidan! Parties and girls are great, but maybe it's time for you to get serious and look for a woman you can do that with. And if you like Ivy, then tell her, maybe she's the one for you," said father, and mom gave him a supportive look.
"I like her a lot too. She's obviously good at taming your ego," Mom said, laughing.
"Or beat the shit out of you if you go too far," Dad added with a laugh.I looked from mom to dad and knew they were right. In the week they were here, Ivy shook up my whole life without knowing anything. I was crazy when I didn't see her; I don't know what would happen if she left again. I didn't care anymore about the parties, and neither did I care about the girls who were in the bar. When I saw her today in her ripped jeans, the places that showed her skin were much more exciting to me than the half-naked Candy standing there. And then she went with Duke and Alice mad at me. Damn.
I pulled out my phone and sent my brother a message to see where they were, and he quickly replied, "food," and sent me a selfie of himself, Alice, and Ivy sitting at a table. She looked into the camera and beamed...with a charming smile and the green eyes that enchanted me so much. I put out the cigarette I was smoking as I put the phone aside and looked at my parents.
"So what are you going to do?" Dad asked me.
"I'll wait for her and talk to her when she comes," I answered him.
"Good...and now take the plates and set the table, we'll eat soon," Mom added.I stayed with my parents until the evening and waited. The two of them sat in the living room and watched a movie, and I sat down with them. I wondered if I would one day have something like the two of them. The knock on the door interrupted my thoughts, and I heard Ivy greeting my parents, which made my heart pound.
She refused to talk to me when I said it had nothing to do with Jane and turned to walk up the stairs. I just followed her and turned her to me. I was ready to tell her straight to her face, but when she said my name, I couldn't take it anymore.
She was light as a feather as I threw her over my shoulder and left the house. I looked at Mom, who gave her a thumbs up as I passed her, and Dad's "These kids," as he closed the door behind us.
She tried to free herself from my grip, wiggling her legs as she hit me on the back with her hands. When I put her down, her face was angry, and she yelled at me only to try to hit me in the face. But I got you girl...I caught her hand in flight before impact and pulled her towards me."You're driving me crazy," I said and kissed her. It was just a gentle kiss on her velvet lips, and when she didn't kiss me back, I took a step back.
"You can hit me all you want. I deserve it...But I just want to tell you that I wanted to come. I wanted to come to the clinic and tell you that I fell in love with you. I just didn't want that You think I'm taking advantage of the situation. I wanted to find Jane first and then tell you... but the situation is complicated. So knock yourself out," I said and looked at her.
Her big doe eyes just stared at me, and I was ready for the impact of her palm on my face. Her mouth was slightly open, and she tried to say something, but then she took a step towards me and kissed me back. Her arms wrapped around my neck as she stood on her toes, and our lips touched. And this time it wasn't a gentle kiss. It was a kiss full of passion and desire as we hugged each other. We took what we needed in a battle of tongue dominance as I claimed her mouth. I picked her up, and she put her legs around me and I pressed her tightly against me without breaking the kiss. Only when we were both gasping for air did we separate from each other but only to put our foreheads together. She looked at my lips as I looked at her, and I got hard just from that kiss.
I sat on my bike in the same position we were standing in, and she leaned back and looked at me questioningly.
"The only one you're riding with from now on is me. And I'm going to make that clear to these fuckers now. You're my girl!" I said to her.
"Your girl? I didn't hear you ask me to be your girl!" She said with a serious face and raised eyebrow.
"You want me to ask you? Like in high school?" I asked her, and she nodded.
I exhaled and rolled my eyes "Fine. Ivy, do you want to be my girlfriend?" I asked her.
"No," she replied, "I would love to be your girlfriend," she added and laughed when she saw my face that looked at her in shock for a moment.
She'll give me a heart attack if she keeps this up.
I drove to the bar, and we walked in while I held her hand. The men were sitting inside, busy drinking and talking, but when we came in they looked at us.
"Ivy is my girl! And you fuckers stay away from her!" I shouted loudly as I held our hands up, and the boys started whistling and cheering.
I looked at Bane who nodded along and shook his head laughing. He clinked his drink with Ace and Duke, and they laughed and talked. I looked at her as she looked at me shyly back with blushing cheeks.
"You're my damn girl," I said to her as I kissed her, and she laughed into the kiss.
