Chapter-16

Author's pov 

Caliban is shocked and baffled both because of the situation. He isn't understanding how things took this turn. He pushed Leila away with force and turned towards Anya. 

"Anya, I can explain it. It's not as it's looking like, I didn't do anything with her. She came here out of nowhere. I just came to take your lipstick." He explained what happened 

"Oh Shut up! I know people like you very well. You got engaged to me but still you're here with another woman. Shame on you!" Anya shouted on him with tears in her eyes 

She was crying but for what no one knows. People were gathering there hearing the screams. Elijah was the first one who came there. 

"Anya, trust me I didn't do anything. Leila did whatever she did and we didn't kiss or anything. I didn't cheat on you, trust me." Caliban said and glared at Lelila who stood there unaffected 

"What happened to you Anya? Are you fine?" Elijah asked her 

"Can't you see what's happening? Or have you become deaf? He fucking cheated on me with that Leila." Anya shouted at Elijah who was happy seeing the drama in front of him 

This drama is like a chance for him which he will use wisely. 

"Leila I swear tell her the truth or else I will kill you." Caliban shouted angrily 

"What do you want me to say? Your fiance has caught you. That's why now you're making excuses? Don't shout at me Caliban because other than shouting you can't do anything." Leila said arrogantly 

Many people have already gathered around and they are gossiping about what's happening there. 

"I am calling off our engagement Caliban knight. I don't want to be with a Cheater." Anya said and removed the engagement ring from her finger 

She walked towards Caliban and gave it to him. 

"I hate you Caliban for whatever you have done." Saying that she ran away from there 

Elijah also followed her to console her. 

It took him a few minutes to realise what happened and when he did he ran towards the exit where Anya went a few minutes back. 

Anya was waiting for a cab which she booked to go back to her home. She won't go with Caliban so a cab is the only way. 

"Anya I am really sorry for…" I Don't want your crap right now Elijah." Anya said and saw her cab was there already 

Caliban came out and saw Anya standing near a cab. 

"Anya stop, I can explain." Caliban shouted but Anya didn't listen to him and sat inside the cab 

The driver started driving and Caliban shouted for Anya to stop. 

"You're such a characterless guy Mr. Knight! You cheated on Anya who loves you so much." Elijah taunted and Caliban glared at him

"One more word and I will kill you right here." Caliban snarled angrily 

He is confused and his mind isn't working properly. He needs to get Anya at any cost and make her understand that he is innocent here. 

He went towards his car and asked his driver to follow the cab which had just left. 

He tried calling Anya but she didn't pick up his call. He was getting frustrated with each passing moment but suddenly something happened with him which stopped him from calling her again.
