Pov AnviSitting in front of the mirror, clad in my bridal lehenga and a full set of jewelry, I looked at my reflection, overwhelmed with emotions.
These emotions weren't just because of the bridal attire-it was because I was wearing the lehenga that belonged to my mother.
(Her Bridal dress)
I remembered the moment in the morning when Maa Sa brought the bridal dress for me. I politely rejected it because it had always been my dream to wear my mother's bridal attire on my wedding day. Maa Sa was happy with my decision, and we agreed that I would wear the dress she brought for my reception instead.
I felt a swirl of emotions today, especially missing my mom and dad. As I was about to step into a new chapter of my life, I couldn't help but wonder how they would have reacted to seeing me in this bridal attire. What advice would mom have given me as I began this new journey?
But I was also grateful that I had Bhaiyu by my side. I was lost in these thoughts when I heard a knock on the door. The makeup artist went to answer it, and soon, Bhaiyu walked in. The artist stepped aside, giving us privacy.
I looked at him, and I could see his eyes were moist. I walked up to him and asked, "Bhaiyu, how do I look?"
"You look like a goddess," he said, pulling me into a hug.
"Bhai, today I'll leave," I said, my throat tightening.
"Good, the house will be peaceful. I'll have some rest now, alone," he replied, his voice breaking. I knew he was trying to hold it together.
"I'll miss you," I said, a tear slipping down my cheek.
"Yeah, I'll miss you too, a little," he said, turning away. I could tell he was wiping his tears.
"Come on, it's time. I've spent enough time talking. I came to pick you up, not to sit here. Now, let's go," he said, trying to lighten the mood. I slapped him playfully.
And then, we both left for the mandap.

POV - Ranvijay
I was lost in thought, pondering my fate. Never in my life had I imagined I'd be getting married so soon, yet here I was, sitting in the mandap, facing the sacred fire, going through the rituals, and waiting for my bride.
Thinking of my bride, I remembered the day Maa Sa first told me about the alliance and how our first encounter flashed before my eyes.
My thoughts were interrupted by Pandit Ji, who signaled that the bride should be brought in. My thoughts were broken when I heard pandit ji that the bride should be brought in. The sound of shehnai filled the air, and there she was-my bride, my hoor coming with aniket. She is looking drop dead gorgeous that my heart skipped a beat when I saw her. Never in my life I felt like this but after seeing her my heart started to beat so fast that I realise that I have a heart also cause till now I was a heartless person with everyone excluding my family but when I saw her my heart started to beat so fast that it felt like it will come outside any time soon.
I snapped out of my reverie and saw her standing in front of me. I extended my hand to help her onto the stage, shamelessly admiring her as she settled beside me.
I couldn't help but gaze at her face, trying to read any emotion, but there was none. I remembered when I told her that I couldn't guarantee her love how her face fell. I hated seeing her like that, but I had my reasons. I couldn't afford to show any weakness; I had too many rivals who would try to hurt her if they knew. I couldn't give her false hope.
I was lost in my thoughts again when I felt a nudge. I turned to see Ritvik grinning at me. "Bhai, I know she's beautiful, but can you at least focus on the wedding now?" he teased. I just ignored him.
I tried to focus on the rituals, but I couldn't stop glancing at her. If it were up to me, I'd have sent everyone out and stared at her for hours.
Pandit Ji finally said, "Hukum hukum Rani sa ke saar me sindoor bhariye" I nodded and took the sindoor. As I looked into her eyes, searching for any hesitation, all I saw was love. I leaned forward and filled her hairline with the sindoor, part of it falling on her nose, forming a beautiful line from top to bottom.
(please fill the sindoor in her bride's hairline)
When she opened her eyes, I could see her shock and beauty.
"Good omen! The sindoor falling like this is a sign of prosperity for the couple," Pandit Ji said, and everyone hooted in joy. Afterward, Pandit Ji asked me to tie the mangalsutra around her neck. I took it from Maa and leaned in close. As I tied it, I intentionally brushed my lips against her neck, and I felt her shiver a rush of satisfaction coursed through me.
We both stood for the seven pheras around the sacred fire. With each step, I promised to always stand by her, to protect her, to love, adore, and cherish her no matter what. After the seventh phera, Pandit Ji declared, "Vivah sampan hua Aaj se aap pati patni hue"
