POV AUTHORAnvi opened her eyes to find her husband, Ranvijay, snuggled against her, his face nestled near her shoulder. A soft smile graced her lips as she watched him sleep peacefully, his features relaxed and serene. The morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a gentle glow on his sharp features. She couldn't help but reach out, her fingers lightly ruffling his thick hair. Tracing the lines of his face with her fingertips, she leaned down to plant a soft kiss on his forehead.
Just as her lips left his skin, she heard his husky morning voice, startling her. "Jaan, it's not fair to take advantage of your sleeping husband. You should save this for when he's awake," he teased, his lips curling into a smirk as he opened his eyes.
Anvi's heart skipped a beat, her face turning a lovely shade of pink as she fumbled for words. "A-aap soye hue the na?" she stammered, embarrassed that she'd been caught.
(You were sleeping right?)
Ranvijay pulled her closer, his arms tightening around her as he gazed into her flustered eyes. "I've been awake since the moment you started admiring me. I just wanted to see how far my beautiful wife would go," he replied, his deep voice laced with amusement.
Mortified, Anvi buried her face in his chest to hide her crimson cheeks, eliciting a low chuckle from him. She mumbled into his chest, her voice barely audible, "Happy birthday, Rana sa." She planted a gentle kiss just above his heart, a gesture that sent a flurry of butterflies erupting in his stomach.
"Thank you, Rani sa," he murmured, kissing her temple tenderly.
He tilted her chin up so their eyes met, his tone soft yet firm as he said, "Jaan, from today, you won't call me 'Rana sa.' You'll call me Ranvijay."
Her brows furrowed in confusion. "Kyun par?"she asked, her voice carrying a hint of protest.
(Why so?)
"Because I'm saying so," he said authoritatively. "Besides, everyone else calls me Rana sa. You're my wife. You should call me by my name, just like other wives do."
"Na na, pati ka naam lena paap hota hai. I can't do that. I'll keep calling you Rana sa," she insisted, shaking her head firmly.
(No no its a sin to take husband's name)
"Where is it written that a wife can't call her husband by his name?" he countered, huffing playfully. "You will call me Ranvijay. It's final."
"Fine," she said with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "From now on, I'll call you 'Aaji sunte ho.' "
"Chi, eww, no way!" he exclaimed, his voice rising in mock horror.
"Arrey, it's so cute!" she giggled, clearly enjoying his discomfort. "Okay, then. I'll call you Jay ji."
"No! Only Ranvijay!" he demanded.
"Alright, alright, Ranvijay ji," she relented, sighing.
"Better," he said with a satisfied smirk. "Soon, I'll make sure you drop the 'ji' as well."
Before she could respond, Pouting, he said, "Now, can we go? I'm hungry."
"Subah subah aapko bhook lagi hai? Jaye neeche, nashta baan raha hoga" she said, tying her hair into a messy bun as she got up.
(You're feeling hungry so early in the morning? Go downstairs, breakfast must be getting prepared)
He smirked mischievously, scooping her into his arms. "I wasn't talking about *that* hunger. I want to feast on *you*," he said, carrying her towards the bathroom.
-------
The family was seated at the dining table when Anika, Ranvijay's younger sister, spotted the couple descending the stairs. "Finally, our lovey-dovey couple is here!" she announced, drawing everyone's attention.
"Yrr aap dono itta kya time laga birthday Bhai sa ka hai bhooka hume bethna pad raha h" ansh said while whining as his mother didn't let him eat anything
(Guys, what took you so long? It's Bhai sa's birthday, and we've been sitting here hungry, waiting!)
"Bukhad insaan," Anvi teased, shaking her head. "Chalo, nashta karte hain."
(Hungry man)
(Come, let's have breakfast)"See? Bhabhi sa loves Ansh more than me!" Anika pouted dramatically, folding her arms. Abhishek, their cousin, quickly joined her.
"Haww, aisa nahi hai!" Anvi said, pulling Anika into a side hug. "I love all three of you equally."
(Haww it's not like that)"Excuse me," Ranvijay interrupted, pulling Anvi closer possessively. "My wife only loves *me*. Everyone else is secondary."
"Huh, jealous much?" the trio muttered in unison, only to be ignored as Ranvijay led Anvi to the dining table.
------
As they settled, Ansh puffed his chest proudly. "Bhai sa, did you know we helped make breakfast today?"
Ranvijay raised an eyebrow skeptically. "Then I'm not eating. God knows what you've made."
"Haww! We worked so hard!" Ansh protested, pouting.
"Sure, sure," Anvi said sarcastically, smirking. "I'm sure you were exhausted supervising everyone."
"Bhoot hath dabado n please" he replied while leaning towards her
(Too much, massage my hands pls)Ranvijay snorted. "Tera gala nahi daba du mai" he said, startling him. Anika and Abhishek burst into laughter, amused by Ansh's exaggerated expression of terror.
(Should I strangle you instead)
"Enough! Everyone, eat your breakfast," their Dadu intervened in a firm tone, silencing the playful banter.
"Hush! Saved," Ansh muttered under his breath, earning another round of chuckles.
------
Midway through breakfast, a voice rang out from the entrance.
"Happy birthday, Bhai sa!"
Everyone turned to see Shanvi. standing with a gift in hand.
"Thank you, Shanu," Ranvijay said, smiling warmly.
"Here's your special gift," she said, handing him the package.
Before Ranvijay could respond, a familiar voice echoed, "Aur Bhai sa, hum bhi aaye hain!"
(Bhai sa i have also came)
A man in his early twenties walked in, grinning widely.
"Aditya! Finally back from London!" Abhishek exclaimed, standing to greet him.
"Yes, Jiju...oops, I mean future Jiju," Aditya teased, making Shanvi blush.
Ansh embraced Aditya with a laugh. "Will you ever grow up?"
"Never," Aditya quipped, smirking. "Who else will spoil Bhai sa's kids?" He winked at Anvi, who teased, making Shanvi blush.
"Of course, Shanvi must've told you about the pregnancy," Anvi teased.
"Obviously who else will tell me?" Aditya said, his gaze briefly lingering on Anika, who was quietly eating her food.
"Now that you're here, sit down and eat," Reema, the matriarch, instructed.
Shanvi went to sit beside ansh leaving only one seat beside Anika which Aditya gladly took while leaning over to whisper, "Kaisi ho, gulabo?"
(How are you gulabo?)
