First day of classes were always the longest I swear. By the time lunch came around I was dead on my feet and wanted nothing more than a nap. By the time our last class was over I was ready to talk with my brother and go straight to bed after.
I trudged my way to dinner holding my books to my chest as I scanned the busy halls of the school. I had almost made it, I was just around the corner, I could smell the food, the scent wafting out of the dining hall. But to my luck I was blocked by two lanky body's.
"Can I help you two?" I questioned the red headed twins in front of me, not wanting to have anything to do with them. The one on the right opened his mouth only to be cut off by the one on the left.
"Ember"
"Everyone talks about how smart you are."
"And we were wondering."
"With a payment from us of course"
"If you would make us a potion"
"Yes, one that would age us about a year?"
My eyes bounced back and forth between them as they talked. I stood silently, my grip on my books tightening, "Um-"
"Heiress Malfoy!" My head snapped towards where my name was called, and I saw Blaize walking towards me by himself. A sighed in relief when I saw him, some of the tension leaving my body.
"I've been looking for you, your brother asked if I saw you to bring you to him." I nodded at Blaize as he came to stand beside me. I looked towards the twins once again, "I'm sorry gentlemen I must go."
I gave them a small bow of my head and grabbed onto the arm that Blaize held out. He guided us around the corner and out of sight from the twins and I sighed in relief. "Thank you Blaize, you're an angel."
He laughed and shook his head, "Nah just looking out for the Malfoys like always." I smiled at the boy. He truly was such a good friend of Draco's and I'm so glad that our family had gotten closer to each other because of the boy's friendship.
"My brother didn't actually want to see me, right?"
He shook his head as we entered the great hall, "No he just said something about walking to his dorm together."
"Perfect can you tell him I will come to where you guys usually sit after I am done eating?"
"Of course."
"You are the best Blaize."
He led me to where Valaria was sitting and smiled as I sat down, uncurling my arm from his. "I know." With a cheeky grin he turned the other way and walked towards his friends. I rolled my eyes smiling at his confidence and turned towards my best friend.
"I feel as though something chewed on me all day and just decided to spit me out." I laughed at her words and started scooping food onto my plate. "You're telling me, my feet are throbbing."
"I haven't had to keep my hair up this long since last year, and my scalp is begging me to take my braids out." I looked at her and gently used my fingers to massage around the sore spots of my scalp.
"I know I was thinking about taking it out in Draco's dorm and just throwing it in a bun when I have to leave."
She shrugged, "It isn't a far walk, and you'll be in the girls wing fast enough, a bun should be fine."
I ate off my plate looking around the great hall just observing people, when a thought popped into my head. "Have you seen Heiress Granger around?"
Val took a minute to think, her brows pushed together, "Not since the train, no. Why do you ask?"
