Hale's POV -

' I want more!', I thought to myself, as I threw myself down at the cafe table.

The barista brought me my drink - I came here every day after my workouts.

I always got the same thing.

Just a small thing to screw with the paparazzi.

However, it also made it really easy for people to find me when I didn't want to be found.

"Hey, Hale!" Jack called as he walked into the cafe.

Ah, yes, Jack Kilmer.

Someone who was almost a lifelong friend of mine.

"Hello, Jack, I see you found me." I motioned for him to sit with me.

"Well, it is really easy, You're always here." He smiled, "I know you like to be here alone, post-workout." I nodded sipping my coffee, and he continued, "I know you've been looking for THE job. The rush... I heard something when my Dad was on the phone last night. Something about a third Top Gun movie. I say you walk straight into Paramount and demand what is yours."

I smirked, "If I could show my skills..." I mumbled.

Jack nodded, confirming my thoughts. "That's one step closer to Ethan Hunt level stunts." I shivered at the thought of the death-defying stunts.

I laid my money down on the table "Let's go Kilmer"

So together we got in Jack's car and rode over to Paramount studio.

When we walk in, Jack is instantly greeted by his father and some other employees.

"Hey, Jack" a man in a suit greeted us amongst the crowd of people, "And who is this?" The man asked who I was.

"Hello, my name is Hale Maptoher." I shook his hand.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Christopher McQuarrie. Your name sounds awfully familiar." He looked over to Val. His speech had gotten better, but it was still gravely.

Val pointed to me, "And more, Extensive... Resume"

Christopher nodded, "ah must be from Disney then."

Jack interjected, "Chris, is it true? Are you working on another Top Gun?"

This made everyone quiet down.

They had been trying to get the same answer out of him all morning. Christ simply nodded.

My heart beat with excitement.

Jack grabbed my shoulders and moved me in front of him, "Then I got just the person you need."

"Really?" Chris laughed and raised one of his eyebrows.

I turned to Jack, "Jack, this is unness-" Jack cut me off though.

"Chris, don't let her humbleness blind you. She's a stunt master. Would give Tom a run for his money."

I blushed, "Really, Mr.McQuarrie, Jack gives me too much credit." I shook Jack's hands off my shoulders.

"Well, my, my... You must be talented then. No need to be humble" He handed me a few papers, "I was just about to reveal these in the next meeting. However, since you're here... I personally wish to invite you to the auditions of Top Gun: Valor... Maybe the title is apt to change. Mr.Cruise has yet to approve of it. He is the producer after all."

Then he walked away - I stood dumbfounded with the audition papers in my hands.

 I could have cried.
