The next two days went by way too quickly, I had told Hado about the beach and how I admitted to myself that I liked Amajiki.
But I didn't have much time with him the other two days on the island, and the next thing I knew, I was returning home.
It went on way too quickly and felt more like some kind of boot camp. Well, it wasn't a vacation, so it should've been expected.
On the ride home, nothing special happened either, and soon, I was able to hug my parents again and tell them all about the island and what I had experienced.
They were very excited and praised me many times, my brother being a little shit again and immediately going in the little brother role of annoying me.
Not much later, I was back at school following a normal day like nothing happened the other days. It felt so boring after having such an eventful week.
We were all waiting for our homeroom teacher to come in. It was the final class before lunch.
Miss Kayama had entered the classroom, everyone going silent at once. "Hello, my students!" She happily cheered while entering.
The way she said it made me sink back in my chair, definitely something going to happen. And I was right.
"Upcoming, we have a writing and a practical exam! I know you all must freak out, but as long as you'll do your best, it'll be fine!" No one, literally not a sound as she waited for a reply.
No one cheered or spoke up because we weren't too happy with an exam, I was already sweating like crazy.
Miss Kayama coughed a little, and her smile dropped a bit. "Alright guys, seriously, don't worry. The exam exists out of a writing test with all the subjects you've had up to now. And the practical will be a.. let's say a show off of your quirk!"
The class started to warm up a bit, and some nodded at Midnights words. "And if you do well, you can come to camp! Isn't that fun?"
That did it for everyone, the whole class now cheering and making arrangements to study at each other's places. I didn't feel the need to study much as writing exams were always a strong point. No matter the subject, that's where I scored best in the entrance exam as well..
There was the practical exam, though, that made you worry a bit. You also had no idea what it would be about, fighting each other? Or just an obstacle, something like the sports festival.
If you got enough points on both exams, you'd be able to go to camp, but it really didn't bother you much if you could go or not. All stuck with classmates and no rest... nope, I wouldn't mind not going at all.
Before you knew it, the bell rang, which indicated your lunchbreak started. Everyone immediately moved out of their seats to rush to the cafeteria. Luckily, you got one of your mother's delicious meals again.
So, the exams would already be here in two weeks, so all you needed was to focus on your practical exam and train some more. Before you could get lost in your thoughts, Hado was already jumping at your desk.
"C'mon (l/n)! I'm gonna miss the food!" She was already rushing off before I had a chance to stand up, I grabbed my bag and started to follow her out of the classroom.
I quickly spotted Togata and Amajiki on their way to the cafeteria and ran to catch up to them. "Ahh, (l/n)! It was a great morning, right?" Togata tried some small talk, to which I nodded.
"Yeah, if you like boring classes." I smiled slightly as he sighed. He knew I was right. There was nothing special about today.
I turned to the left where Amajiki was walking, since I had pushed myself between them. He noticed my gaze shifting to his and looked at me with a questioning look.
