Chapter 37 | Ignoring

The exam day was here, and for some reason, the nerves weren't too high, which was actually a positive thing?

After the study session with Amajiki, you couldn't help but think about that all day, already having admitted your feelings to yourself and then him giving you the sweetest hug.

You had to pull it out of your head for today, though, since the exam was of more importance than your fangirling over your friend.

Kanna didn't walk with you this morning, and you were almost nearing the gates. She had said that she needed to meet up with someone from her class first.

You had noticed the distance that was forming between the two of you. Not knowing how to feel about it, you just kind of brushed it off as Kanna obviously has other friends as well.

It didn't matter much since you had friends of your own, too, so even without Kanna, you wouldn't have to feel lonely.

Finally arriving at the school door, you saw some familiar faces and immediately sped up to meet them.

"(L/n)!! You're here!" Hado screamed when she saw me as soon as I got closer to her she gave me a thight hug. "Argh... HA! Hado.. you're squishing me..!" I said out of breath since it was squished out of me.

Hado immediately let go and started laughing nervously. "I'm sorry! I'm just so nervous, I really want to pass the exams!" I smiled at her and definitely understood how she felt as my nerves were slowly arriving.

"You'll do great." I said with actually some of a happy voice, mostly Hado would have to comfort me with stuff.

I quickly noticed Togata and Amajiki behind Hado, catching Amajiki's eyes. I pulled my hand up to wave at him with a soft smile. Opening my mouth to wish them both good luck, I was quickly interrupted.

"I'm going, I ...forgot something in the classroom.." Amajiki said, having avoided my gaze and quickly disappeared inside the school.

It was quiet for a moment before Hado spoke up, "he's doing that a lot lately.." With that, she meant the day before, after our study weekend he'd been avoiding me, I thought he might've just been in a bad mood yesterday.

"So I'm not the only one to notice.." I said, dropping my hand loosely beside me. Hado placed a hand on my shoulder, "Did anything happen? Something to make him mad?" 

That's the thing, I've never really seen him mad, so I don't know what would make him mad.. I shook my head, "I can't think of anything.. I just helped him with some subjects like he asked."

I then turned my head towards Togata with almost pleading eyes, hoping he'd have an answer. "Togata, do you happen to know what's wrong?"

Togata removed his gaze from mine and rubbed his hand behind his neck, letting out a slight sigh. "I'm afraid you'll have to ask him yourself.. when you get the chance."

He then placed his hand on my other shoulder and pulled his thumb up with a bright smile, "but don't worry, I'm sure he'll come around eventually!" Togata then quickly excused himself and left.

Some part of me was sure he'd know something, but of course, he wouldn't tell me. It's Amajiki's decision to tell it, not his. Which meant I'd have to ask him directly without him running off..

But, it's also the exams... and those are more important today.

You let out a grunt, and Hado patted your back, leading you inside the school.

A lot of students were gathered at a large hall where many tables were posiotioned, they had boards around them so no one could peak on someone else's sheets.
