Chapter 41 | Parkour

The weekend was over, and we had to go back to school. But this time we had suitcases of clothes with us for our camping trip.

No one knew exactly what it existed off and how it would turn out. Would it be a training camp like Amajiki said? Or would it just be fun around a campfire while we tell spooky stories.

You were almost nearing the school and saw a bus already stationed right next to the gate. Kanna also had her camp, but she said that their class had to leave at a later time.

There was a line between you and Kanna, and it felt longer every day. You were mostly the first to send a message, only small replies coming back. It felt like she didn't want to be associated with me anymore.

"Hey, (l/n)! Over here!" You were dragged out of your thoughts to a waving Hado, her smile bright.

I walked towards her, shaking my head with a smile. "Dont get your hopes up, Hado. It might become terrible." You whispered the last bit more to yourself.

"What was that? Where is your enthusiasm?!" She grabbed my shoulders and squeezed them a bit. "C'mon, it might be super fun!" I just nodded my head to stop her blabbering.

Soon, Togato and Amajiki arrived at the bus and many more students. "Hey, are you two excited? Hado definitely is." I greeted the two boys with a wave.

Togato laughed from my words, and Hado pushed me against my shoulder. "A little less than Hado, maybe?" Togato said while turning to Amajiki with a smile.

Amajiki quickly shook his head, showing that he wasn't excited at all. "Maybe it'll be fine?" I said with a little hope in my tone, trying to convince myself too.

Togato had turned to Hado teasing her, so I gently pulled my hand up to touch his arm, smiling reassuringly. "Thank you..." He replied in a whisper.

"So.. does that mean you're less worried?" I said while tilting my head to get a little closer, a hopeful smile appearing. "No." He replied, to which my smile immediately faltered.

"But thank you for trying." He said, now grabbing my arm gently, and when I looked up, I saw his smile. It immediately made one appear on my face again.

The bus ride was long. It felt like we were dragged to the other side of the land. Eventually, there were big mountains and lots of trees.

The vehicle stopped after what felt like ages. I was seated next to Hado the whole ride, so I was very happy when I got a second of silence outside.

My feet were asleep from the long ride, which gave a stingy weird feeling to them. Moving away from the bus, we could see through a whole valley, big trees covering the forest ground.

"Alright, my little students! We're almost there, but first, our hosts are here to meet you all!" A big car suddenly approached the bus, stopping next to it.

Out came a flash of colors, two figures quickly jumping out. "I'm Mandalay!" One of the women said, the other following like a rehearsed line. "And I'm Pixie Bob!"

They both brought up their paw like hands, "and together we are the Wild Wild Pussycats!" They said in unison, striking a pose.

Yukko was clapping, being the only one, the whole class turned to him with raised eyebrows, and he quickly stopped with a shrug.

"Welcome to our land! We are very happy to have you all here." The one called Mandalay said. She had brown short hair and purple marks under her eyes.

"Your class will be staying with us in our home, and we're almost there!" The other one with blonde hair called Pixie Bob continued.
