Charlie's POV
"Damn it.." Louis mumbles and crumples up a piece of paper before throwing it across the room.
He has been cursing under his breath for awhile now. His crumbling of papers is what woke me up.
"Louis?" I rub my eye and sit up on my elbow to get a full vision.
"What?" Louis snaps.
I frown at his rude tone, hoping he catches the hint that I'm offended.
"Yes?" He sighs and I smile.
"What's wrong?" I ask him and he shakes his head.
"Writers block.." He mumbles and rubs his temples.
"So you admit that you write songs?"
"Don't test me, Charlie."
"Well what are you writing about?" I peek over his shoulder to see his writing but he closes the notebook and throws it off the bed.
"A shit writing piece, that's what I'm writing."
He lays back so his face is inches from mine and smiles.
"So.. I believe we had plans for after your nap," Louis reminds me and I giggle before sitting all the way up.
"Not in the mood anymore," I shrug.
"How the hell are you not in the mood? You literally just took a big ass nap so you can't be tired!" Louis sits up and argues.
"I'm in the mood for reading that notebook of yours," I cross my arms and Louis rolls his eyes and lays back down.
"Well I'm in the mood to have.." Louis glances at my stern look before finishing "..fun. Only one of us can get what we want and I'm not giving in."
"I guess none of us is getting what we want."
I stand to my feet and Louis groans.
Things with Louis lately has been really different. A good different, but nothing has fully changed. We never talked about it all.
I turn back around and sit on the end of the bed, facing Louis.
"Can we talk?" I ask and he raises an eyebrow.
"Why do we need to?" He asks.
"Because we are a horrible pair of people," I smile and he chuckles and shakes his head.
"Fair enough," he surrenders "don't expect me to share feelings and shit."
"Well I kind of just want to communicate. You never really said sorry--"
"Charlie.." Louis' voice becomes stern and I catch the hint.
"Oops," I attempt to avoid the word "I meant apologized. Anyways, we were distant for a reason, Louis. You say you love me, and I believe you.. but not always. We have not yet even said boyfriend and girlfriend to each other yet. I always have to discover small facts about you because you refuse to tell me. You kissed a girl right in front of me because of your stubborn pride."
Louis runs his hands through his hair before sighing and looking out the window. There is so many things he has done to me in the very little time that I have known him. But, he is so stunning. Louis is a true asshole, but he also can be such an amazing person and I love every single bit of my ocean eyed asshole.
"I don't like that Luke guy," Louis finally states.
"I don't mind any of the girls you've been with."
"Yeah because you were friends with them before you knew they have been with me before."
"I knew Aubrey was with you before I even said anything."
"You were not jealous of her at all?"
I stare at Louis and he smirks as I roll my eyes.
"And I kissed the blonde bitch because she was vulnerable and I was pissed," Louis explains.
"Taking advantage of girls isn't funny, Louis. That's disgusting." I shake my head in disgust.
"I don't want to do that anymore, that's why I need you. Someone else had you in that moment and I snapped back to my asshole phase."
"It's not just a phase," I mumble under my breath.
Louis shrugs.
"Why won't you date me?"
Louis looks into my eyes. A moment of emotion runs through his eyes but, like always, I can't catch it.
"Isn't saying 'I love you' enough?" Louis whines.
"Saying 'I love you' is a big stage. I'm asking for less than that so why is it so hard? I would like to say that you're my boyfriend instead of finding a word to describe our dysfunctional relationship." I respond.
"I don't like the title 'dating'" Louis confesses.
"It's not only about you, Louis. Am I not dating worthy or something?"
"What? No! You are so dating worthy! I just.. don't like dating," Louis defends quick as his eyes widen "why would you even think you're not dating worthy?"
"I couldn't think of another reason why you're avoiding the idea of dating me," I shrug and turn slightly red.
"Shit.." he says under his breath "Charlie, do I make you insecure? At all?"
I shake my head and look at some crumbled papers on the floor to break awkward eye contact with Louis. He doesn't really make me insecure, I just couldn't think of any other possible reason. He is always on and off with me, am I not worth keeping or something?
Louis sits up and grabs both of my hands to place in his. He lifts one of his hands up to my chin and lightly turns my head so I am once again making eye contact with him.
"You are so beautiful to me and I'm beginning to think that you fail to realize that," Louis begins "it has never been my intention to make you insecure and it never will be. I love you, more than anything. Please, never forget that."
He is being so sweet. I almost don't trust it but this moment is too beautiful and rare to overthink it. My eyes are brimming with tears and the cheesiest smile spreads across my face. I turn pink as he leans in to give me a quick kiss on the lips.
"Charlie.." Louis disconnects our lips and says.
"Yes?"
"Will you go out with me?"
Awww!!!! I love writing chapters that Louis is his version of "sweet" in!! And guess what.. I'm on summer break!! More chapters.. maybe ;) but I do like to spend some nights reading fanfics instead of writing. I love writing so much but I gotta catch up in my books! That's where i find my inspiration lol.
