Rosed

As I Lay Dying Part 1

3rd Person POV:

Damon got Rose settled in his bed with a cool washcloth, some blood, and a big gulp sized Old Fashioned, complete with a straw so she wouldn't have to strain to sit up and drink it, and then hurried back down to the living room to discuss what to do with the gang.

Elena had woken up during this time and joined everyone to strategize.

"Wait, go back, why did you think you had the cure to a werewolf bite?" she asks.

"Rose had this theory that maybe werewolf blood could cure a werewolf bite so we tested it," he explains.

"Tested it how?" Stefan asks.

"Jules and a rapey stranger we turned into a vampire," he says wincing.

"You turned someone just to infect them with werewolf venom?" Elena asks horrified.

"I'm sorry did you miss the rapey part of my previous sentence? Dude got off light... or he would have had he not tried to make a break for it once we cured him," Damon explains.

"What does that mean?" Tyler asks.

"We had him in the shed out back and then Jules' blood actually cured him we got distracted celebrating and he made a run for it not knowing the sun would finish him off," Damon elaborates.

"Wait you used werewolf venom from Jules and then Jules' blood to cure the bite?" Caroline asks.

"Well, it was an injection but yeah," Damon says.

"Maybe that's why it's not working, Jules isn't the one who bit Rose, maybe her blood only works to counteract her venom," She says.

"Makes sense," Stefan says.

"Which means I have a wolf to hunt down," Damon says.

"How are you going to do that? It was a full moon... you don't know what he or she looks like not in wolf form," Bonnie points out.

"It had to have been Opie," Damon says.

"Opie?" Elena asks.

"Yeah, I didn't get all the names of Jules' pack but you know the skinny redheaded one, he was the last one standing besides Brady and we all saw Klaus rip out Brady's heart which leaves Opie," Damon explains.

"What if you're wrong? What if it was just a passing werewolf who saw another wolf in trouble and tried to help?" she asks.

"Well, then I have even more spectacularly bad luck than I previously thought," Damon sasses.

"Say it is... Opie, how would you find him? I doubt he hung around after seeing what Klaus did to Brady," Caroline points out.

"I don't know. Bonnie, what about a locator spell?" Damon asks.

"I would need blood from a relative," Bonnie says.

"What about a pack member?" Tyler suggests and everyone turns to him.

"I mean we know where Brady is right? Presumably still at Steven's Quarry," Tyler points out.

"Worth a shot," Caroline says agreeing.

"Bonnie?" Damon asks.

"I mean I can try but no promises," she tells him.

"Alright, I'll be right back, keep an ear out for Rose if she needs anything," he asks.

"Of course, don't worry I'll go up and check on her in a minute," Caroline tells him.

"Thanks, Blondie," Damon says genuinely appreciating the offer.
